Just a short little thing I wrote in like ten minutes. Enjoy (:
"Olivia?"
"Yes, Peter?"
"Olivia."
"Peter, what?"
"Olivia!"
He twitches in his sleep when he's dreaming. She has noticed that by now and she finds it kind of adorable. But she hasn't heard him talk, let like this. She rolls over, blocking out him repeating her name over and over again.
"Olivia, look out behind you…" he whispers in a small, eerie voice. Almost… childlike. Reminds her of that scary movie they watched together, while she faked being scared so he would hug her. She glances over her shoulder to see him reaching into the air with both hands. He grabs for something that isn't there.
"Peter, you're sleeping. Please shut up," she murmurs flatly. He turns to the sound of her voice, his eyes open but glassy. She smirks, reaches out a hand, and shakes his shoulder gently. He jumps in surprise but his eyes finally focus on her face. "You were having a bad dream."
"I was?" he asks, sitting up. "I don't remember it. What was I doing?"
"Calling for me."
He's silent and just watches her. She smiles weakly under his gaze. "I don't remember what the dream was about. I was probably trying to stop you from going into that tank again." She nods and laughs softly. "Go back to sleep."
She snuggles against him, eyes closing.
She hates this assignment, hates how she's slowly falling for the number one subject. How could she help destroy this world if he's still in it?
