Every time Naruto smiled, Iruka's heart felt warm and butterflies started to flutter in his stomach. Naruto reminded him of good times, he made him feel safe and warm.
Every time Naruto laughed, Iruka knew that Naruto was his reason to live. A world without Naruto would not be a world for him.
Every time Naruto's eyes filled with loneliness and pain, Iruka would feel hate towards those who had made his Naruto feel this way.
And every time Naruto curled up in his lap and whispered 'I love you, Iruka', a tear of joy would fall down Iruka's cheek before he would kiss the top of the blonde head and whisper 'I love you too, my Naruto'
