Sooner or Later

'Excellent,' Russia thought eerily as she spotted America leaving the men's room, eating a Big-Mac. She wrinkled her large nose; was he eating the whole time in there? She shook the thought out of her mind and approached America with intimidating grace. America winced as she felt her aura around him. She smiled cheerfully at America's glare.
"What are you doin' here ya' commie?" America asked harshly. Russia smiled.
"Ah America, your idiocy is so hurtful. Don't you remember that I am no longer a communist?" She ignored the skeptical glare on his face, "It doesn't matter because you will know. I will tell you when we become friends, Da?"
"Friends." America repeated a single eyebrow cocked.
"Da, you and I will be friends." Russia nodded firmly.
"Hahaha, your funny Anya, you really are," America said sarcastically, "Those days are behind us. Does the 'Cold War' ring a bell?" Russia winced at those two words.
"I am willing to forget the past and look to the future, da, if you will." Russia said after a minute of silence. America pretended to be genuinely considering the offer.
"A good suggestion, I'll have to get back to you on that," He turned his heel away from her, "See ya later commie!" He threw the yellow sandwich wrapper purposely over his right shoulder. It landed on both of Russia's feet; the grease stained her new shiny black boots. She smiled calmly at America's retreating figure and fished a yellowing black and white picture from her black coat. It was her and America, standing side by side, America grinning widely with one hand over her shoulder while she was smiling shyly. Both were at an even height at that time. She sighed wistfully as fond memories clouded her mind.
"Don't worry," she said to herself, "We'll get back to those good days…sooner or later."

Again…came to me on a whim. Sad…might become a twoshot if I feel like it. Just be excited that it's another installment of my random Nyotalias.
