Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted a story, so I decided to get to work. This story goes along with my story Cybertronian Babysitters, but you don't necessarily have to read it to understand. Basically, when Cybertron is reborn, the Aerialbots appear out of nowhere as sparklings and get assigned to their new dad, Skyfire. Disclaimer: Don't own Transformers, unfortunately. ;)
"Hey Carrier, whatcha doin'?" Slingshot asks the scientist curiously as he climbs up the shuttle with experienced movements. The brothers are all about teenagers now, but they have the weekend off for school.
"I'm… Studying a fragment of Vector Sigma, to put it simply."
"Isn't that the guy who made us? Why is it glowing? Can I see?" Slingshot asks eagerly.
"What did you do to your brothers?" Skyfire frowns suspiciously, and Slingshot gets a rare deer-in-the-headlights look, before getting a mischievous grin.
"Nothin'..."Skyfire gives the younger bot a look of annoyed disbelief, causing Slingshot to grin. Skyfire, knowing the youngling well, waits to hear the glorified explanation.
"Well, you see... Skydive called me a runt! So I'm giving him payback, because that's not fair! It's not my fault I'm a little shorter! I'm still the best flier!" Slingshot says proudly, his optics twinkling behind his visor.
"What did you do first?" Skyfire inquires, knowing that Sky dive would not insult someone without cause.
"Nothing! I was just sitting there, minding my own business!" Skyfire frowns and raises his optic ridge, causing Slingshot to shrink under his carrier's piercing gaze.
"Well... I mighta sorta... called him a name first..."
"SLINGSHOT!" Silverbolt suddenly bellows, and the orange-faced flier gets a look of pure terror, before running off in the opposite direction.
"It wasn't supposed to hit him!" He yelps as Skyfire sits straight up, the actions at first not registering. Then he slowly stands, not sure how to deal with the situation when Silverbolt skids to a stop by Skyfire's door, his pedes shooting up sparks where they are grinding on the floor.
"Where is he." Silverbolt says, all-too-cooly, his voice deadly. But Skyfire finds it hard to take the tallest brother seriously as he looks down.
Silverbolt is draped in glittery pink paint, and has bows stuck to him in odd places, including one on his chin.
"Now Silverbolt, maybe we can settle this peacefully…" Skyfire tries to reason with his son when Silverbolt snarls and turns his aft to Skyfire.
"Look what the little glitch did to me!"
"Oh my… He went that way." Skyfire points towards the other door. 'Slingshot was here' was written in gold paint on the sibling leader's aft, with a rainbow painted along Silverbolt's developing wings.
Silverbolt nods in thanks before taking off again, using his thrusters to zoom through the halls.
Soon, Slingshot's terrified screams are heard, and Skyfire merely shakes his head. Slinghot should have known better.
Though Skyfire won't punish either sibling. He's sure whatever Silverbolt does will be punishment enough, and deserved fully. Though he would like to hear Sky dive's part of the story, it's irrelevant anymore.
