I've lived around big cats my whole life. But I've always been home schooled. Thank god my parents are letting me go to public school this year. I won't be alone. My boyfriend, Biff Hooper will be in the same classes as I will be so if I'm called away, he can bring me my homework.
It's funny; Biff & I met on accident. His mother wanted him to do something meaningful with his summer days so she brought him to our Sanctuary. Once Biff was with the cast & animals, he got comfortable around them. It was like they knew he was there to help & not hurt them, unlike their previous owners. Most of our animals & cats were raised by normal people that was until they realized they were a full grown predator. By that time, it was too late to give them to a zoo, so they normally would just neglect them. That's where I came into the picture. I had a gift of calming wild, neglected & abused animals down. Biff had the gift too.
My life was as follows: get up at 5:00am to feed the cats & get ready for school, leave for school in my truck at 6:30am and get to school a little after 7:00am, go through school as normally as possible, leave school with Biff in the truck, head to the vets office to pick up the powdered milk, head to the market to pick up all meat for the cats & dog/cat food for the house pets, pick up groceries for the family & snacks for the kids & head home to do homework & take care of the animals.
