A full moon floated in the night sky. The whole forest was silent, not a soul in sight. But they're there, invisible to the naked eye. Every rustle in the bushes, every leaf twitching, it's them. They prowl through the undergrowth, eyes appearing for a second then disappearing when you blink, as if they were never there in the first place.

Shadows broke from the canopy of the forest, flitting across the bare ground. They ran as one, at the same pace, as they dashed across the moor under the moonlight. Their leader, a large black she-cat with a white splotch across her left eye was ahead by a fox-length. Her gray eyes were narrowed, reflecting the bare sheen of the moon. They were honing in on their target: a shallow dip in the ground, known as the WindClan camp. As the cats reached the camp, they stopped running and begin to prowl through the tall grass, coming to a stop a few feet from the entrance. There were two guards up front: one of which was nodding off and the other who was full-on sleeping. 'WindClan needs to teach their warriors,' The ShadowClan leader thought with a silent snort. But anyways, she nodded at the first two cats in line: her sister, Lilyheart, and Boneclaw, a newly-made warrior.

"Take them out," The she-cat growled and they prowled away. As they disappeared, the she-cat angled her ears backwards to pick up the suspicious conversation coming from the back.

"Fogstar dies tonight," One voice whispered. "Heatherstar said that in this fake raid, she will kill her after we all trap her somewhere."

"Finally," Another voice snorted. "I'm getting tired of her acting like she's all that and making me clean her dirt and dirty moss." Another voice began to pick up, but it hushed as Lilyheart and Boneclaw came back, blood on their claws. Fogstar peeked through the bushes, seeing the warriors on guard lying down with slit throats.

"Good," Fogstar mewed, her voice deeper than other she-cats. "Remember the battle plan: we fan out, surrounding the camp and we attack, blocking their escape." All of the cats nodded. Fogstar lashed her tail and they got into formation, with Fogstar at the entrance. Nodding, the cats raised their voices in a battle-cry.

"Attack!"

They surged forward, as WindClan cats dashed into the open, looking around for the ShadowClan warriors. Fogstar bowled into a warrior, knocking them off of their paws. As she pinned the WindClan she-cat down, the she-cat, who happened to be Breezeheart, snarled angrily.

"I knew it was you who planned this raid, Fogstar!" Breezeheart faltered in her movements when she said that sentence and then began to struggle under Fogstar, who simply grinned.

"Planning to me, eh Breezy?" Fogstar's fangs glinted in the sheen of the moonlight. Fighting was going on all around her, but all she cared about was leaking information out of this maggot.

"N-n-no, w-what makes y-you think that?" Breezeheart stammered nervously. Fogstar shook her head while chuckling mirthlessly.

"You were always a bad liar," Fogstar mewed and with that, she plunged her fangs into Breezeheart's shoulder. She would avoid killing Breezy… for about two seconds. Breezeheart shrieked and shoved Fogstar off. Fogstar raked her claws down Breezeheart's stomach and left her bleeding out onto the ground. Fogstar was looking for a new target when her senses became alert and she rolled away before leaping to her paws to see who had tried to attack her.

"Rabbit-dung!" Cursed the WindClan leader herself, Heatherstar, her claws in the place of where Fogstar once stood.

"Eh, not so fast now, are ya Heatherbreeze?" Fogstar sneered with contempt, stalking back up to her archenemy. Heatherstar visibly shook with rage and with a loud snarl, she leaped at Fogstar. Fogstar met her head-on. She raked her claws across Heatherstar's muzzle, leaving three good-sized bleeding scratches. Heatherstar retaliated by lunging forward and kicking Fogstar's legs out from under her. With quick reflexes, Fogstar had used her hindlegs to stop herself from falling backwards but instead fall forward. She pinned down Heatherstar and also raked her down Heatherstar's stomach and left her to bleed out.

"Now that she's taken care of, time to relax, and with no wounds, huh lucky me," Fogstar conversed silently with herself as she walked over to the Tallmound. She leaped up and sat upon it, waiting to see when the cats would try to kill her. She didn't have to wait long, for Heatherstar stood up with a growl and kinked her tail. All of the cats in the clearing, ShadowClan and WindClan alike, stood up, glaring at the treacherous leader.

"How nice? A fake WindClan raid used to kill me," Fogstar mewed, carelessly picking at the dead skin on her claws while watching the others' reaction.

"How did you know?" Lilyheart spat, unsheathing and sheathing her claws repeatedly.

Fogstar laughed. "I didn't know but I had my suspicions. Turns out that I was correct." Glares pressed in on Lilyheart, who ducked her head sheepishly. Fogstar chuckled again.

"Never mind that, now you're going to die!" Heatherstar snarled and kinking her tail again, the cats begin to press in on all sides. Fogstar sniffed the air. She knew WindClan had another escape tunnel, which should've been right behind her. As she spun around, her sister, Lilyheart, had leaped up onto the mound and was creeping up behind her. Fogstar narrowed her eyes, focusing on the wall behind her, and realized that there was a narrow cleft, hidden by moss and ivy. At that moment, Lilyheart chose to leap for her, but Fogstar already saw it coming. It's like she has a sixth sense. She can feel cats coming for her before normal cats can.

"Get ready to die!" Lilyheart snarled as she leaped. Fogstar backed up and as Lilyheart leaped, she raised her claws up, tearing deeply through Lilyheart's stomach. Lilyheart collapsed onto the ground a few feet away and Fogstar chose that moment to run. She knew she couldn't face two Clans of cats. She shoved through the cleft and continued to run. The walls pressed in on all sides, forcing her to crouch and move slowly. She could hear the cats yowling in shock and anger and Heatherstar screeching out angrily.

"You idiots, she's disappeared through the tunnel, get her!" The noises faded as Fogstar continued to crouch-run through the tight tunnel. But swift paws reached her ears and since the tunnel closed in on her, Fogstar could only kick out with her hindlegs. Her pursuer shrieked and stumbled. Fogstar ran forward, feeling the tunnel widen out and…. She made it! She leaped out into the open air, panting and looked up at the sky. Still dark. Looking around, she realized that she was at the edge of WindClan territory, on where you had to go to reach the Moonstone. And then her enemy, a.k.a. Heatherstar, leaped out from behind her, landing on the grass neatly.

"I've got you now!" Heatherstar hissed, leaping for Fogstar. Fogstar growled. She needed to get out of here. She had to avoid killing Heatherstar…for now. She swatted the WindClan leader away and took off, running past the scent lines that represented the edge of WindClan territory. She looked back to see Heatherstar smirking at her.

"Scaredy-cat!" She crooned but didn't come over the markers to get Fogstar. Instead she laughed at her.

"I'll be back one day Heatherstar! And then you'll all be sorry!" And with a last, guttural growl, Fogstar took off, leaving a laughing Heatherstar in her trail.
