A/N;; I don't claim James, Lily, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. I do claim the make ups, though. Will update for reveiws.

"Seriously you don't need her, you are better off single." Sirius said as studied his friend James across from him. The boy looked horrible, bags around his eyes as if he never slept and deathly pale. All of which a woman caused and it hurts him to look at him. He was also a bit skinnier since the Remus and Peter seen him. Sirius knew the boy didn't eat much since he lived with James's family after he left his parents house.

The other signed at his friend, he didn't understand. "You don't know she was perfect and beautiful. The way she-"His dreamy tone of voice was stopped as the trolley lady came to their compartment.

"Anything would you like dears," the sweet old lady asked.

"Oh we don't want anything," the boy said but Sirius glared at him.

"Could I get ten chocolate frogs," Peter piped up and Sirius raised an eyebrow.

As soon as the trolley lady left them and everyone in the room turned there attention back to James. His legs were pulled up to his chest and he hugged them. He pulled on his dull red ski cap lower. He looked outside to see his reflection in the mirror, a boy who was semi pale, with small brown stubble on his jaw line from the lack of shaving in the morning and brown warm eyes. The wavy chocolate brown hair ends of his hat made him look scruffier not that he minded.

The others stopped the topic of James's love life and they started discussing Quiddditch this year even though none except James played. Then the topic shifted to the Seventh year party that Sirius was creating for tomorrow night. Soon the train stopped and after Sirius made Remus do a spell to make James look refreshing without James approval. They got their stuff and started emptying out of the train. His eyes wondered everywhere looking for a red head but he had no luck.

After another hour they were in the Great Hall and in their uniforms. They couldn't eat until the whole sorting hat thing not that James cared. He was to busy trying to look for Lily, a plan to win her back was forming in his mind.

Lily, a simple yet beautiful name of a flower and a girl who stole James heart and breathes away when he heard her name. He dated her all sixth year when he got the nerve to go ask her. It was perfect bliss and he thought she felt the same except at the end of the year she broke it off. As far as he knew she was dating someone whom he hated.

His warm brown eyes scanned the table for the familiar red head. His attention was caught by the red head and he waved but she ignored him. His face fell fast.
