"Child of Hades, what more could I do to you? You are perfect! So much sorrow and pain!' Nico gasped. His eyes flew open."

PROLOGUE
Nico put all his weight on the sword, but it wouldn't even budge. Gripping tightly again, he managed to only shift it a tiny bit.
Will laughed quietly behind him.
"Shut up, Solace." Nico really hated being laughed at.
"That sword is like an exact replica of the sword in King Arthur," Will said. "Only the true king can pull it out."
"Really?" Nico asked. "Well, there's no royalty in Camp-Half-Blood."
"They say King Arthur was the son of Zeus; and Merlin the great wizard son of Hecate." Will walked to the sword, and pulled it out. The sun glinted from the blade.
Nico opened his mouth in surprise. "How did you do that?"
"It's called patience. Instead of pulling forcefully, let the calm spread through you." Will started to smirk, as Nico glared.
"Could've said that to me before."
"It wouldn't be amusing, then, would it?" Will propped his foot on the rock, and then the sword flew up out of his hand. "What?" Will began, and then ducked as the sword was shooting past right where his head would've been. It stopped, then did another attempt at Nico.
Will grabbed his arm. "Run!" They both charged, spotting Chiron staring at the sword.
"It's trying to kill us!" Nico yelled. He moved to his right just in time.
Chiron smiled, and he looked evil. "Maybe your parents are giving you a warning," he said.
Confused, Will stopped.
"Hades and Apollo aren't pleased with you two," Chiron continued. "You expect both of you to be together?" he looked straight at Nico. "You, a loner, who isn't even popular go with the Music and Sun God." He gave a chuckle. "Why, you didn't even tell him!"
"What?" Will asked. "Tell me what?"
"I don't know what he's talking about," Nico said. His heart clenched tightly as he spoke the tiny lie that was going to wreck his whole relationship with Will.
"Ah, well." Chiron said. "Don't want to admit to your boyfriend?"
"We didn't even kiss," Will murmured. He stared dejectedly at the floor. "I don't even know if you like me."
"I do!" Nico said.
"Well, why don't you say? Four simple words. 'I like you, Will', or at least say that we're more than that."
Nico opened his mouth to reply, but somehow he couldn't make noise come out. His mouth felt like glue; and could only stare.
"I knew it," Will said sadly. He walked away.
"Wait!" Nico shouted desperately. "I-"
"Too late," Chiron said. He snapped his fingers, and the sword went straight into Nico's heart.
