Hey guys, well I decided I was going to force myself to update one of my stories, but my brain came up with a three-shot idea instead.

And this one is…sort of gonna cause shipping wars because…well you'll know why as soon as you read it. In the end, it's my story and I decided what I want to do with it. So no flames please!

Enjoy!

Dear Diary,

I just met the most handsome boy ever! He's so hot and I get totally nervous around him when I try to say something. :/ He's just so fricking cute that I don't know what to say to him. I think I'll embarrass myself. *sigh* Oh, his name is Ash Ketchum and he has the most gorgeous eyes in the world! :D They're like chocolate! Mmm, chocolate. ;)

Well, that's all I wanna tell ya now, seeya later!

Dawn closed her diary and sighed to herself with content day-dreaming of Ash again. She locked her diary and put it under her bed. She wondered what she could say to a guy like him. He was way out of her league. They didn't seem to have many things in common with each other. He was the star basketball player and he was also very popular, two things Dawn weren't.

"What am I thinking, with all those looks, he must already have a girlfriend." She said to no one in particular, but didn't realize someone was listening.

"Thinking about Ash again?" Dawn jumped to her feet. May giggled.

"May, stop that! Get out of my room!" Dawn demanded.

May was Dawn's older sister, well step-sister. Dawn had been born to a single-parent mother, who recently married this year. Plus, he had a daughter named May, whom Dawn found annoying to have as a sister. She wasn't used to this kind of lifestyle and she wished that her mother hadn't gotten married. Everything was fine before her mother's marriage, just the two of them.

"Dawn, this is our room." May said.

"But I need to have my privacy. Can't you at least respect that?" Dawn said, but rather harshly. May sighed.

"Dawn, you're my little sister, it's my job to protect you." May said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Maybe I can give you some advice to talk to this guy." She suggested. Dawn glared at her.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I can handle this on my own. And I'm not so younger than you, I'm 15 and you're 16." Dawn said.

"I know, Dawn, but I can still give you advice."

"I don't need any advice from you. And why should I? What do you know about love? You've never had a boyfriend." Dawn said to her. She had no reaction and stared at Dawn.

"Exactly. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to get some sleep. You sleep on your side. Don't even think about coming over to my bed for anything." Dawn said. She got up and turned off the lamp beside her bed and proceeded to sleep. May went on the left side of the room , where there was another bed placed and she got in and closed her eyes.

The next morning, Dawn got up and wrote another entry in her diary.

February 2nd, 2015

Dear Diary,

I'm back! ;D But..I'm not doing so well. No, I'm not sick or anything, I just don't like my life. For 15 years, I've never had to share a room with anybody or share my clothes, or even share my lip gloss! D: That's just not fair! I really don't like May, she's way too nosy about my life. Everything was going well until my mom got married! Did you know she tried to evade my privacy while I was thinking about Ash? Unbelievable, right?! Ughh…she's a pain in the you know where.

Oh well, I better get to school now, maybe something good will happen today, like talking to Ash! :D Let's hope for the best!

Byez..:)

"Hey mom, what are you cooking? Pancakes?" Dawn asked, impatiently.

"Well actually I was making some eggs for May, she loved boiled eggs." Johanna said. May was sitting on the table. Dawn gasped.

"But I wanted pancakes.." Dawn whined.

"Of course, no problem, dear. I'll just whip them up for you." She said. Dawn smiled as she went to sit on the table, waiting eagerly for her breakfast.

"Morning, Dawn." May said, bringing up a smile. Instead of answering, Dawn just rolled her eyes and tapped her phone to see if she had gotten any messages.

"Sleep well?" She asked. Ok, this girl clearly wasn't getting the message that Dawn wasn't going to talk to her. It was getting really awkward for May. She just wanted the best for Dawn, but she never realized that.

Johanna gave the eggs and pancakes to both of them and they started chowing it down to the very last bit. Afterwards, Dawn noticed the time on her phone and realized she was getting late for school.

"OMG! I'm gonna be late! I have to hurry, mom! Can you drive me to school?" Dawn asked.

"Oh, I wish I could, but I have to be with your father to help with his presentation, he needs to impress his office people." Dawn sighed hearing that.

"Ok, then I'll drive!" She beamed.

"No, Dawn, you don't even have your license yet." Johanna said.

"But I know how to drive and I have my learner's permit. I can do this." Dawn insisted.

"I think it's better if May drove you to school." She suggested. Dawn widened her eyes. "What?!"

"Yeah, I have my license. I can drop you to school." May smiled.

"Hey, you know what? I can walk there, it's really no trouble." Dawn said, trying to avoid the matter.

"But by the time you reach, you'll be late, won't you?" May asked. Dawn was trying to come up with a feasible excuse, but nothing came to her head. She silently cursed in her mind. She grumbled, as she had no other option.

"Fine." She breathed.

"Ok, let's go then!" May cheered. Dawn sighed. Today was going to be a long day.

After May drove in the one of the parking spaces, Dawn got out of the car, but May stopped her along the way.

"Have a great day." May said.

"I will if you won't be there." Dawn whispered to herself.

"What was that?" May asked.

"Oh, nothing. Thanks for the ride, I guess." She said.

"No problem. Do you want me to pick you up later?" May asked. Dawn looked at her in the eye, "No, I want someone else to pick me up, I want mom to pick me up."

"Okay, if she's not too busy then-"

"No, she's the only one I want! I don't want you or Mr. Harvey to pick me up from school." Dawn growled.

"Okay, but maybe you should call him 'Dad' now." May said.

"He's not my father!" Dawn retorted. "And you're not my sister. Get that in your thick fat head!" Dawm fumed she walked into the building. May was almost on the verge of tears, but she knew how Dawn was feeling to be adjusting in a new family. She started the car and backed up the vehicle.

Dawn suddenly saw Ash walking past her and she could feel her heart beating. She smiled silly before approaching him. He was by the lockers, taking out some books. She was right in front of him, staring at his face, but he didn't seem to notice her. She was smiling widely. As Ash took out the book from his face, he noticed her and nearly jumped at his feet from the way she was staring at him. Was she on drugs?

"Umm, why are you staring at me like that?" She didn't answer.

"Hello?" He waved. Still no reply. He snapped his two fingers at her.

"Huh?" She suddenly came back to the real world. "Oh, uhh, sorry." She said, feeling embarrassed.

"Yeah, well could you move out of the way?" He asked and Dawn scooted over to the right to give him way. Dawn sighed to herself.

"Idiot!" She mentally slapped herself. "If this keeps up, I'll practically marry Ash when I'm in diapers again.."

"Ash, you say?" A girl said behind her. Dawn looked behind her and saw a girl around her age. She seemed like a honey-blonde and she was wearing a black blouse with an orange skirt, plus a cute pink hat on her head.

"Yeah, he's really cute." Dawn said.

"I know, which is why you'll never have him." Serena said. Dawn widened her eyes.

"Huh?"

"Ash is mine, you bitch! Get that in your head! We're meant to be together. Besides, if you two were going out, I'd bet you'd throw up and he's dump you like the dirt you are." She smirked. Dawn dropped her mouth open.

"Why you little-"

"Save it, goldilocks! I have a much better chance with Ash than you'll have in fifty years." Serena stopped her. Dawn glared at her. Who did she think she was?

"Ok, we'll just see! We'll just see who Ash picks!" Dawn said, trying to sound brave.

"Alright, but don't cry when I win." Serena said as she walked down the halls, humming to herself.

"Ughh!" Dawn stomped her foot. "I hate her." She grumbled to herself. She continued grumbling as she went to her locker.

"Whoa, why the long face, Dawn?" A girl about her age touched her on the shoulder and asked. Daw immediately lit up as she saw her best friend. They had been friends for as long as Dawn could remember, and she felt that she was the only person whom she found incredibly sweet and not annoying.

"Leona, just the person I needed to see! Ohh, I'm so glad you're here, I've had the most terrible morning ever." Dawn said. Leona chuckled.

"It sure looks like it, what happened?" Leona asked.

"There's the girl." Dawn started, "And she's totally after Ash too." Leona face-palmed.

"Dawn, did you have to make a big scenery out of that?" She asked.

"I didn't, she did! She cussed me out, you know! Cussed me out!" Dawn said with an angry look in her eye.

"She cussed you out?" Leona asked.

"She totally cussed me out!" Dawn said again, flailing her arms up in the air.

"I can't believe that-"

"Now, now, just because a person cusses you out doesn't mean that you have to do the same to them." Dawn said, in a more calm voice.

"What? You seriously have lost it.." Leona said, rolling her eyes. Dawn sighed.

"Well, I don't care what she says about me. She said that she can do anything to get Ash, but she doesn't know that two can play this game." Dawn said, determined.

"Yeah, you go Dawn!" Leona high-fived her. "So what are you going to do to impress Ash? You can barely speak to him."

"Thanks for the encouraging words." Dawn said sarcastically. "There's a basketball game this afternoon and I'm going to stay back and cheer for him. It'll be the closest way to him." She said.

"Impressive, only one blunder. You know nothing about sports." Leona said. Dawn rolled her eyes.

"You don't need to know about sports when you're cheering and screaming for him. Trust me, the way to a man's heart is through his sports." Dawn said and Leona laughed.

"Isn't it 'food'?" Leona asked, and Dawn got frustrated.

"I made up a pun!" Dawn growled. Leona giggled.

"Okay, Dawn, well I'll stay back too if you want." Leona said.

"Really? Yay! Thanks, you're the bestest friend ever!" She squealed and they hugged.

After classes, it was time to departure home and also Dawn's time to impress Ash. She didn't know much about sports, but she figured that screaming loudly for Ash would do enough. She was walking through the hallways when she saw her sister walking towards her. Dawn scoffed seeing her, what was she doing here anyway?

"Hey, I just came back after college and I found out there was no gas in the car, so could you-" She was cut off.

"You want me to drive?" She smiled while asking. May chuckled.

"No, I was going to ask if you could ask mom to fill it because I forgot my cell phone at home." Dawn lost interest.

"It's your problem, not mine, so deal with it." Dawn simply said as she walked past her. May sighed.

"Well, walking is always good for me." May said to no one in particular as she walked out of the school.

Dawn approached to the auditorium and he saw Ash throwing some hoops in the basket, she began to drool a little. He was dressed in a uniform, with a blue and yellow screams of colours on his sleeveless shirt and bottom shorts. She blushed, hoping it wasn't noticeable in the hot scorching sun. He was showing his impressive muscles and his build up and Dawn just giggled to herself.

"Dawn, stop day-dreaming!" Leona teased as she came up behind her.

"You're here!" Dawn squealed.

"Yeah, I was here for a while, where were you?" She asked.

"Uhh, don't ask. My sister was here for some stupid thing, don't worry about it." Dawn shook her head and Leona sighed.

"Why are you so mad at May? She didn't do anything bad." Leona said.

"She's just so annoying and bossy. I never liked her and I never will. But anyways, let's not talk about her, let's just enjoy the amazing view out there." Leona giggled.

The buzzer sounded and the game started when the ball was thrown in the air and was hit by Ash, who bounced the ball with his arm across the stadium as he attempted to shoot. But some other players were blocking his path so he passed the ball to one of his teammates, and then went in front of the opposed player for defence. Dawn was intrigued looking at Ash, he was doing really well. After a while, Ash made his first shot, not only that, it was a 3 pointer.

"Woooo! Go, Ash! Yeah!" Dawn screamed and cheered while clapping, while Leona did the same. Ash turned around to notice who was screaming his name, but continued playing as he didn't want any distractions. Besides, if Ash noticed her, she was sure she was going to faint any second from his looks.

After a while, the game was 56-49, and most of it was due to Ash's points. Dawn smiled, it was half time and she was going to attempt to talk to Ash. She had to conquer her fear and she was determined to do so. She got off the bench and saw Ash at the bleachers drinking some water. He looked sweaty and gross, but Dawn didn't let that bother her. She starting walking forward but then she suddenly noticed a group of cheerleaders heading to the auditorium. They were wearing cheerleader outfits, with yellow and white sleeveless blouses and short yellow skirts.

Dawn widened her eyes as she saw someone familiar in the group of cheerleaders. "Serena?" Dawn asked no one in particular. She gasped as she saw her smirk towards her. The group began dancing and chanting for the team. Serena even blew a kiss to Ash and winked at him, but Ash simply stared at the group. Dawn wondered if Ash was even noticing this. After their dance ended, Dawn was approaching Ash, but Serena caught up to Ash first.

"Hey, you, uhh, got any talent?" Serena asked.

"Umm-"

"I know what's your talent- looking absolutely gorgeous." (A.N: A guy used that pick up line on me once. Let's just ignore the lameness.) Dawn was getting infuriated with Serena. She put two fists together and was considering murdering someone.

"Like my dancing skills?" Serena asked, putting back a streak of her blonde hair behind her ear.

"I guess they're alright." Ash shrugged. Serena sighed, was it really hard to get his attention?

"You looked amazing though, astounding. I mean one of those shots you made was really awesome, especially that dunk you made right before the end of halftime!" Serena tried something else to impress him and it seemed to be working. Dawn was biting her nails.

"Thanks, I've been practicing a lot." Dawn gasped as she figured out the way to impress him, which was to talk about sports. But Serena was clinging on him so much.

"You got skills, friend. Hey, after the game wanna get coffee?" Serena asked. Dawn gasped. Oh no. Please don't say yes. Dawn thought.

"Sure, why not?"

Dawn blacked out.

"Dawn? …Dawn?" A voice said as she slowly and momentarily opened her eyes. She seemed to be in her house on her bed. She abruptly got up from her bed.

"Oh thank goodness you're awake, mom and I were so worried." May said.

"What happened?" Dawn asked.

"Leona, your friend, called up and said that you fainted for some reason." May said and Dawn thought back at what must have happened. Then she suddenly remembered and her eyes narrowed.

"Oh that Serena…" She grumbled, but loud enough for May to hear.

"Who's Serena?" Dawn looked at her. She sighed.

"Just someone you don't need to know. Uhh, I need a snack." She complained as she attempted to get off from her bed. May stopped her.

"Relax, I'll get you a snack if you want." She suggested.

"Did I ask you to make me a snack? Did I?" May didn't replied but just remained puzzled. "Exactly, I can do things by myself. I'm not a little girl. Now move out of my way." She practically shoved May lightly across her to get past her. She went into the kitchen and drank some water. Then, she began to think what must have happened after the basketball game. She wondered if Serena had managed to impress Ash. She then texted Leona.

6:41 p.m. Dawn: Hey Leona, what's up? :)

She waited for a while before her phone buzzed again.

6:42 p.m. Leona: Dawn, you alright? I was so worried! D:

Nope, she was definitely not alright internally. Her crush was going out with her enemy. How was she going to be alright?

6:44 p.m. Dawn: No I'm not! Having the worst day eva..are ash and serena going out? Pls don't say yes otherwise Imma die! D:

She just prayed and hoped that the rumours weren't true and that she still had a chance with Ash. How could Ash even like that girl? She's such a pain in the rear, she was considered to be more annoying than May.

6:47 p.m. Leona: Nope they're not going out infact Ash was worried for you! He even made a suggestion on calling ur mom! :D Isn't that just so grate? :D xD

Dawn simply squealed and sighed with satisfaction.

6:48 p.m. Dawn: OMG! :O He noticed me? :O And he was worried? Awww… ;') That is soo sweet! Ooh but wut about Serena?

6:49 p.m. Leona: Am not sure what happened after that but I think she went home or something. :/

It was finally Dawn's turn to smirk now. Her chances of impressing Ash today proved to be totally futile and it was something she deserved.

6:51 p.m. Dawn: Good for her, that no good stinking brat! :D She is so conceited.. -.- How can ash even like her?

6:53 p.m. Leona: I don't think Ash really likes her…his reaction showed it today. Well gotta go, am really hungry! LOL…byez.

6:54 p.m. Dawn: Haha! xD Gnight, c ya tomorrow! :D :*

Dawn shut off her phone and placed it on the counter for charging, when she got stopped by her mother. She smiled widely and just hugged her. Johanna patted her and rubbed her blue locks of hair slightly. Dawn missed moments like these when it was just the two of them.

"Are you okay, dear?" She asked, her sweet voice warming Dawn's heart. Dawn nodded and Johanna kissed her on the forehead.

"Well, maybe you should go back to sleep now, I'd be very tired if I were you." Actually Dawn was a bit fatigued, so she simply agreed and went up to her room. But Dawn gasped as she saw May…in her favourite dress.

"What are you doing? That's my dress!" She exclaimed.

"I know, it's just so pretty and I wanted to try it on. How do I look?" She posed by putting her arms on her hips while looking in the mirror. Dawn's blood began boiling every second.

"Get. Out. Of. My. Dress." She stated, with a fierce look in her eye. May seemed speechless.

"I was only trying it on-" She was cut off.

"NO! You can borrow my shoes, my comb, my make-up, even my lip gloss, but nobody and I mean nobody ever tries on my favourite dress in the whole wide world! Now get off that dress before I do something crazy that I'll regret." Dawn shouted. May was appalled at Dawn's reaction.

"Dawn I think you're overreacting." May said. This girl was really getting on Dawn's nerves.

"That's it! GET OUT OF MY DRESS BEFORE I RIP IT OFF YOU! NOW!" Dawn panted, but May retorted.

"Dawn, you can't talk to me this way, I'm your sister." May said. Ok, that did it.

"For the last time, you're not my sister! You're not anything related to me! You're just a disgusting person in my life. Everything was fine before my mom got married! And he had to have a daughter like you." Dawn said back and May's reaction was very shocking.

"Dawn, like it or not, your mom got married to my dad, so we are sisters whether you say it or not.." May brought up a point and Dawn hated when people were right. Dawn took a deep breath.

"Just please get out of my dress, for the last time, please!" Dawn literally begged May, who just sighed.

"Ok, I'll take it off." May said and then went into the bathroom. Dawn sighed a breath of relief before taking out her diary.

February 3rd, 2015

Dear Diary,

I think this is practically the worst day ever, for sure! :O I just met this super annoying girl named Serena (such an ugly name…-.-) who just so happens to have a crush on Ash as well. Its not like I brought up a fight anyways, she's the one who started it…she even threatened me! D: And, she cussed me out! Yeah, she called me the b word! Totes not cool! I swear, she is going to get it…

Anyways so we made a deal on who would get Ash first. He'd be the one to pick the girl, so I decided to impress him by cheering him on the basketball game today. He was doing well! :D And he looked so handsome in his uniform I just wanted to…do unmentionable things. Anyways, xD, I was cheering really loud for him…I even thought he noticed me once but he didn't. Then all of a sudden, Serena comes out in her cheerleading outfit trying to impress him. Ughh, barf, I say! Barf! And then she asked him out…for coffee. And then I fainted…

But everything went well afterwards, in fact Ash was worried for me! Yay! *happy dance* They didn't even go out, so *happy dance* xD

Oh, but the worst thing that happened was that May was trying on my favourite dress! Yeah the one with the red and gold lining! Can you believe her? Some people are just so annoying and stupiid…-_-

*sigh* Will things get better for me?

And that's the first chapter. This isn't really a one shot, and it's not a new story…I'm thinking to put it as a three shot. Yeah, maybe that's what I'll do. I hope this was a good chapter.

So, hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter…I am finished with exams so maybe I'll update more. (yes I had exams…)

See you guys next time! :D
