Tenten ran down her usual path for her morning jogs. The morning was bright and beautiful. It had just rained last night so the dew was giving the forest a cool glow. Slowly she made her way out from the forest and into the training area to a couple laps. Upon entering she realized that it was already occupied.

Tenten quickened her pace to see who the mystery person was. As she got closer she realized it was Neji. She had always had a crush on him but had never even told her best friends. Deciding on not wanting to make herself look like an idiot she turned on her heel to leave. Instead of a smooth turn though, Tenten slipped on the wet grass and twisted her ankle as she went down.

The pain was instant and throbbing. If only she had Sakura around to help her out. Without using much intellect, Tenten tried standing up so she could walk back to her house to get a first aid kit. Unfortunately the pain enriched itself and caused Tenten to fall back down.

Tenten waited to feel the impact of the ground but was surprised to feel something catch her. Looking up she was surprised to see Neji holding her up. "Neji-kun I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to disrupt of your training. Please forgive me," Tenten begged.

Neji gave a light chuckle. Since when did he laugh? Tenten thought. "Tenten-chan, there is no need to apologize."

Tenten was stunned. "Um, okay…" By now Tenten figured she should probably be getting home. Her ankle was throbbing and she needed attention to it. "I guess I should be going now, thank you again," She finished. Tenten looked around for something else other than Neji to help get support. She spotted a tree near by and tried standing up, this time hopping on her good foot. Neji however didn't let go of her and instead helped her over to sit her down by the tree.

Tenten was probably more in shock from Neji's action than her ankle. Once seated down, Tenten pulled off her shoe to reveal her busted ankle. It was already swelling and turning purple. Neji pulled out a bandage and began wrapping it with the up most caution so not to hurt her even more, once finished Neji helped her up. "We should get you back to your house. There you can further attend to it," he instructed. Tenten just nodded and limped on her leg relying on Neji's support.

The walk to her house was long and awkward. Tenten wanted to make conversation but did nothing of it. Neji was just being Neji and kept quiet.

Once they reached Tenten's house, Tenten fidgeted with her key and unlocked the door. She didn't just open it quite yet. Quickly she turned to Neji. "Um, thanks a lot for everything," she said nervously. She could feel a blush on her face.

Neji nodded and turned to leave. Without thinking, Tenten grabbed Neji's shoulders and planted a kiss right on his lips. At first Neji didn't know what to do. He never thought of Tenten in that way but he didn't pull way. Instead with his instinct he kissed back. The Kiss was long and sweet. Tenten had her arms wrapped Neji's neck. He had his around her waist.

After a minute or two, Tenten pulled away and a murderous blush erupted on her face. She gave a quick good bye before hopping into the house and slamming the door. All Neji could do was smile as he walked back to his training.
