A World Through Your Eyes

Rating Just Incase. This is a Inu-Yasha & .hack crossover. Kagome receives a present from her friends. Oh no. Not another video game fad! Oh well, Kagome tries it out anyway. What happens when it becomes more than just a game?

inuyashakewl: Okay, just so you and I both know…. I don't own Inu-Yasha or .hack…. blah blah blah blah. Anyway I will try to get this up quick I just started it but I have all kinds of ideas.

Chapter One: A present?

Kagome Higurashi was an adverage ninth grader. She lived at the Higurashi shrine with her mother, grandfather, and her little brother Sota.

Thump! "Ahhh!" Kagome grunted falling out of hr bed. Today was school again and it didn't look like a sunny one at that. Glancing at the window you could see rain coming from the sky. Kagome sighed, 'Great... I guess I'll have to walk to school in the rain...' she thought to herself.

"Kagome, breakfast!" the cheerful voice of her mother baking in the kitchen broke the silence.

"YAY!" Sota yelled happily as he ran into the hallway towards the stairs, only to slip and fall on the wood floor because of his socks. "Oww!" he yelled, picking himself up and going down the stairs. "What's for breakfast?" Kagome could hear from her doorway. She stood there shocked at the whole scene.

'When did Sota get so brave?' she wondered, ' He always used to cry when he fell down...'

"Kagome your breakfast is going to get cold!" her mother yelled.

Kagome snaped out of her daze and quickly got dressed and ran down to the table. After breakfast she began to walk to school.

A few minutes later she was accompanied by her three best friends; Eri, Ayume, & Yuka.

"Did you hear about that new game everyone's talking about at school?" Eri asked, "It seems like everyone's playing it... What is it called The World?"

"Yeah..." added Ayume, "It's some kind of virtual reality game."

Kagome stared off into space.

The friends didn't talk much after that. Once school was over Yuka had a surprise for Kagome after school.

"Yuka? Eri? Ayume? What are you guys doing here?" Kagome questioned after she opened up the front door to her house. The rain had stopped and it was a somewhat sunny day with a lot of puddles on the ground. The moisture still hung in the air.

"Well, you know how my dad is a electronics store owner?" Yuka said with glee.

"Yeah..." Kagome began.

"Well, guess what? We all got The World game for free! Look!" she said handing Kagome a package.

Kagome held it in her hands examining it carefully. The World online game. Helmet and controller included. "Thank you, Yuka." Kagome replied with a smile. She wasn't into video games but she decided to try it out because Yuka went to all that trouble.
