Disclaimer: I do not own anything...

So I hated the ending...why did they kill Arthur?!

This is an extension of the series, technically this would be season 6. It takes place in the 21st century...

Enjoy and don't forget to review!

Chapter 1: Beginning

Taking a deep breath, Merlin looked across the sidewalk to the entrance of Cambridge University. Before he could have a second thought, Merlin strode confidently and swiftly into the building. He roamed the halls until he spotted the bathroom sign. Ducking into the bathroom, careful that no one saw him, Merlin disappeared into one of the stalls. Thankfully, since it was so early in the morning, the building was pretty much empty and the bathrooms were all deserted. Murmuring a quick spell under his breath, Merlin waited a few moments before emerging out of the stall and admiring himself in the mirror.

He no longer had the white hair, the long white beard, and the wrinkles. His black hair from his Camelot days was back and that same goofy smile was still there with the bright blue eyes. Merlin looked like he hadn't aged a day since he worked for….

Merlin frowned before sighing, pushing his thoughts out of his mind and focusing on the task at hand. He was about to head out of the bathroom when he realized that he was still wearing his hobo clothing. Groaning, he thought, most powerful sorcerer in the world and yet he still acted like a homeless person, always wandering and waiting. That's why he was going to Cambridge now. To have something to hold him down. Every couple of decades he would enroll in a university, a different one each time, and see where it took him. It's not like he had anything better to do.

Muttering another spell under his breath, Merlin looked down to see he was now wearing black jeans and blue dress-shirt with a red bandana around his neck. Smirking, he was pleased by this new set of clothes. With another spell, his book bag appeared at his feet. Placing the strap over his shoulder, Merlin took a final look at himself in the mirror, forcing a smile before leaving the bathroom and heading down the hall to see his advisor.

As he passed through the hallway, Merlin passed two students who were talking rather loudly.

"Did you hear about how the Prime Minister is looking for an assistant for his son?" One of the students inquired.

"I bet they'd pay a fortune!" The other student replied.

"Yeah, but for what? Being a manservant?"

Merlin could no longer hear the conversation as he turned the corner. Instead, he overheard a conversation between an apparently very angry student and his exasperated advisor.

"I don't care!" The student cried angrily, "I'm not majoring in biology! Why the bloody hell do I have to take a biology class? That's just stupid."

"I'm sorry," Merlin guessed that the advisor had said this at least ten times before, "There's nothing else that I can do."

"Then I won't waste my time here," the student snapped before storming out of the office, not watching where he was going. Unfortunately, neither was Merlin who had been too wrapped up on the content of their argument to notice the young man coming straight for him. They collided and both fell to the floor, cursing.

Merlin looked up to see his assailant. He had messy blonde hair and bright blue eyes. The sorcerer's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Arthur?"
