Simon's POV
"It's not like that" Chloe said after a few moments of silence
I wanted to yell, to scream out my foster brothers name, have Chloe to myself. But I said nothing, I handed her the rolled up picture I drew for her, I spent days on each line, watching her face, her laugh… her beautiful laugh. And yet somehow, Derek got everything.
I slammed my hands into my pockets and turned back to where we were staying, I heard Chloe calling back for me, I ignored it.
At every school we went to, Derek and I, many girls would come to ME. Not Derek. ME. Would ask ME to the dance. Not Derek. Would flirt with ME. And yet, somehow, Derek gets the girl I actually wanted.
I knew, that on the run, I couldn't get mad at my brother.
I walked in the Victorian house, Derek was waiting in the living room, hearing the door close, he jumped up to see me.
I honestly cannot see what Chloe see's in Derek. With the whole puberty smack down.
Suddenly, I felt guilt twist my stomach, and the anger died down.
"Where's Chloe?" Derek growled like the true werewolf he is
I shrugged and went up to our room, I heard the door closing.
Derek's POV
When I saw Simon walk in the house alone, my heart jumped.
And when he shrugged, I could crack his little neck and demand for Chloe.
In the whole thing, I didn't want Simon and Chloe to go. Simon was to greedy in my opinion. Chloe is… she is… delicate, beautiful, amazing.
Shut up, now go find her
My werewolf instinct kicked in
I slammed the door behind me, the woods looming in the dark. Chloe all alone, being watched by-
Stop that
I went in the woods, Chloe was against a tree.
"Where's Simon?" I asked pretending I didn't know
Chloe pointed to where I came from
"He left you here?" I asked
Chloe muttered something about him dropping something, she side stepped, I side stepped.
I saw a tear stuck on her eyelash
"Were you crying?" I asked, my tone softening, I tried going for a rougher thing but seeing Chloe just made me… quiet
"N-no, just s-some-d-dust" Chloe stammered
She has been crying
"You have been crying" I said
"What did Simon-, I stopped, I didn't want to interfere
"Nothing, I just screwed up, shocked, I'm sure" Chloe said
My expression, blank, I'm sure, totally attracting, she will defiantly love this werewolf, mean, blank dude.
At least I can try, can't I?
