Hope

L has his facades and he has that one person who can see behind them. Unfortunately, instead of focusing on the little hope L has left, said person just pays attention to the lack of emotion inside. Poem.

AN: This one is kind of in L's point of veiw. Hmm. Odd. More masks. Maybe Light and L have more in common than they will admit. ;) Ok. Nevermind. They already know how similar they are. xD

Disclaimer: I don't own L. Even though it doesn't mention him, I'm still comparing it to him. ..I wish I owned L. Ah, that would be the life. :D

Hope

You think I am a monster,

A cold-hearted mess.

Do you really believe

I'm that emotionless?

I guess I understand.

You're the only one who sees

Through the masks and facades

Into all that's left of me.

And I know you are disheartened

Because it truly seems

As though there's nothing left

But indifference and apathy.

What you seem to miss

Time and time again

Is that little white box

Just around the bend.

In that box, there is hope,

And that hope is working everyday

To try and find the emotions

I somehow lost along the way.
