I sit at the piano, running my icy fingers along the familiar ivory keys, almost sadly. Lyrics to a song dance in my head as I began to play the melody.

Playground school bell rings again
Rain clouds come to play again

I see in my minds eye, a flash of curly brown hair, a warm twinkle of chocolate brown eyes, the warmth of her trusting touch as she sleeps. I was thankful that vampires couldn't cry.

I hear her laugh and see her smile. I see the hurt and pain in her face when I lied to her, telling her that I didn't love her anymore. I wonder what's she's up to. If she's forgotten me and moved on.

As I went to grab my cell phone and dial the Swan's number. It rang and I answered it was Rosalie's voice coming over the line, "Edward, Bella's gone." As I snapped the phone shut I stared to cry, as much as a vampire can, my Bella is dead, and it's all my fault.
