Valkyrie clicked her fingers, but no spark came. Sadistica smiled scarily, "Yes, this room is bound, and I shall set my Reapers on you if you don't be a nice girl and co-operate, hm?"
Valkyrie stiffened. She didn't want to be near the Reapers, not after they easily beaten her and Skulduggery after they arrived. Skulduggery rose and touched his façade tattoo, the skin sliding of his face.
"I don't see them Sad, so please, do me a favour," Skulduggery said, "and hand over the Cloaking Sphere."
Sadistica laughed, and then the Reapers appeared. Not walking in though, they appeared out of thin air, all holding Cloaking Spheres.
"Aw," Skulduggery said "hell"
"Hell indeed, Mr. Pleasant" Sadistica said "See, the original Cloaking Sphere was merely a prototype, and my best man for the job, built more."
Skulduggery nodded.
Valkyrie remembered her back-up plan and fiddled with the buttons on her jacket, looking worried. She nodded too, and then Skulduggery cleared his throat, and brought out another Cloaking Sphere. Sadistica's face turned angry and she shouted "Get that off them!" but they were already gone.
Sadistic grabbed were they were, but only grasped air. She was confused. Maybe they improved it to make them invisible, and unable to touch? Then all the Reapers collapsed, and the Spheres only dust.
Valkyrie and Skulduggery were standing in China's library.
"Okay," Fletcher demanded, "What's happening?"
So they explained, how they found out Sadistica Tortura, a new criminal stole the Cloaking Sphere, armed with many Reapers paid a vast amount to help her, and when Skulduggery and Valkyrie found her location which was Murbot Castle, they visited, but with a back up plan.
"See," Skulduggery said "What I brought out was a Magical Electric Magnetic Pulse, or MEMP, which turns all magical and electric devices to dust, similar to the bomb that destroyed the Sanctuary, so, all her Cloaking Spheres are dust, unfortunately, because I was starting to really like them. Just one of my genius ideas"
Valkyrie turned to him "The rest was my idea"
"Oh yes, see, if we destroyed it, also destroying the magical device keeping the room bound, the Reapers would still kill us, so Valkyrie suggested using you, because you've been in that room, remember? So we just hoped she held us in a room you've been in, that day those Fireclaws got loose in that castle" Valkyrie shivered
"And when we saw it was, we sent the distress message to you, and you brought us here" Valkyrie was grateful that Fletcher was learning so well, he teleported them so quickly, she couldn't see him. Fletcher smiled.
"So now, you owe me more!"
Valkyrie laughed and Skulduggery groaned.
