They cheer because he's won, because Iron Man is the victor. They scream at the top of their lungs, hug one another, and raise a toast to their hero, knowing the world will spin on for another day.
While she's grateful for the win, relived that the world is safe, her relief extends beyond that. The air rushes quickly into her lungs, burning as she fights back a sob. Her hands shake while adrenaline courses through her body, tears fall against her control, but a smile breaks through. They cheer for Iron Man while she cries tears of joy for the man in the suit.
They all celebrate their hero's victory, while she, she also celebrates the fact, that today is not the day, she puts Tony Stark, in the ground.
A/N: So really short but I wanted to do a small piece that showed how the public responds to a hero verses how a loved one might respond.
