Jareth sat on his throne, listening to the distance ever present rambles of his goblin subjects. As a headache was coming upon him, he pinched the bridge of his nose in absolute agony of wanting to block the noise. It felt this very second he was about to explode in anger, and trust me he was.
He looked upon each goblin, each stupid dim witted goblin that was in the eye seeing view.
"Why did I have to be the King of the Goblins, surly the Labyrinth, but these morons?" He motioned with his hand as if to sweep the floor. The goblins could feel his livid mood creeping upon them like the misty fog. The goblins looked upon each other, guessing what was to come. Was it going to be the joyful laughter, or madness fury of the king?
Jareth put his black gloved hand on his head, as if he was the idiot, a moron even. Then he looked up and put the glare upon his subjects, oh they knew what was coming, even if they were thick headed skull brains.
Jareth had the crystal in his hand, he tossed it up in air and caught in his hand, a dark look covered his eyes. He threw one of the all-seeing crystals that he conjured, the murky crystal landed on the cranium of a poor goblin who did not even expect it. Then the crystal touched down on floor, causing it to shatter. From the broken shards, the wispy smoke of dreams of a never forgotten girl.
Each goblin turned they head towards the remains of the dim glittering crystal, like it was poor goblin that just got hit on the head, which he was quite possibly dead. Then the goblins looked upon their king, who was looking in the crystal so the remembered girl could be seen through the depths, the pain of his headaches went away along with the noise.
This King of the Labyrinth would not, could not believe that this girl found her way through the Labyrinth. No one has ever surpassed the Labyrinth, no one. So how could this fifteen year old girl do it? How was it possible even? Sure she was one of few who could wish, and it would come true. Every girl or boy that happens to wish either turned away the Labyrinth and left whatever they wished to be gone behind. If they didn't they never even got past the 'never ending trail' after finding the door. Of course they were a few who did get past that, but never as far as Sarah.
Jareth had two different things in his mind for her. First he would like her to be down in the oubliette, forever forgotten. The other, he didn't want to let go of the memory of her, and if he had her, he wouldn't let go of her. Damn me, for saying the horrid words, he thought. Damn her for saying "You have no power over me."
For saying Fear me, Love me, and I will be your slave had ever tied Jareth to Sarah.
