"Kate, what can I get you?" Castle ran his fingers through Kate's sweaty hair, wishing he could do something to ease the pain.

"A million granola bars, a way to go to work when I feel like throwing up every five minutes, and to fast forward this pregnancy seven months so this child is ready to come out." Kate groaned, gagging.

"I'm sorry you feel too crappy to go to work. At least you can do some paperwork at home." Castle pointed to the files sitting on their dresser.

"Yes, I can do paperwork if I ever have a couple of hours without a wave of nausea." Kate dropped back down on the bed and shut her eyes. "Castle, your child is trying to kill me."

"Oh, so it's my child now?" Castle asked, laying down next to his wife and rubbing her stomach.

"Yes, it's your child. My child would understand the value of letting his mommy go to work." She grumbled, grabbing another granola bar and opening it up.

"Do you want anything else? I could make us lunch?" Castle asked.

"It's all I can stomach right now." Kate said, nibbling on the bar.

"At least they say morning sickness is the sign of a healthy pregnancy." Castle assured.

Kate put the finished the bar and closed her eyes again. "At least there's that."

The sound of a phone ringing caused Kate to shoot up in bed, she grabbed it, "Beckett."

"Hey, Beckett, you think you'll make it to the precinct tomorrow?" She heard Ryan's voice on the other end.

"I'm planning on it, Ryan. It depends on whether the baby lets me or not." She glanced around room, noticing the lack of Castle. He must have gone to the den to get some writing done.

"I understand. Jenny had the worst morning sickness. It lasted for several months." Ryan said.

"Well mine is more like morning, afternoon, and night sickness…and it better not last several months." Kate groaned.

"If you plan on coming in tomorrow, I'll just brief you on the case then. Have a good night, Beckett." Ryan said as she heard a click.

Kate got out of bed and decided to search for her husband. The sound of clicking led her to his office.

"Don't tell me Nikki is struggling with morning sickness." She laughed as she placed her arms on his shoulders.

"I thought about it," Castle said, his arms reaching out and pulling her around to sit on his lap. "But instead, I decided to work on this list."

Kate stared at the computer and read the words on the screen,

How to Make Kate Feel Better

1. Buy more granola bars

2. Pick her files up from the precinct so she'll have something to do

3. Avoid making comments about how beautiful she looks while she's throwing up, she will slap you.

4. Give her a massage

5. Avoid talking about how it will all be worth it in seven months; she will slap you.

6. Talk about baby names

7.

"As you can see, I haven't finished the list yet." Castle said, pulling her tightly. "I only want you to feel better."

Kate leaned over and put something next to #7. "Keep being the best husband in the world."

"Yah?" Castle said. "I wish I could do more. I kind of feel like I'm annoying you."

"I'm annoyed at the situation," Kate said. "It's hard to feel so sick I can't even go to work. Plus, I have no idea how long it's going to last."

"I know, honey. But it will pass…I promise." Castle leaned over and planted his lips on her cheek.

"But, Castle?" Kate pulled his hand over and put it on her stomach.

"Yes, love?" He said.

"I can't wait to share this child with you. Starting a family with you is more than I could ever dream. I'm sure he will be the most amazing kid on the planet," Kate said.

"She definitely will," Castle smiled. "She'll be just like you."

A/N This is more drabble than anything. It's a response to my own morning sickness that I'm currently having with my first kid, leaving me unable to go anywhere. I had no idea. I am extremely thankful for my husband.
