My submission for evil charming week, day two! Evil Charming, and children. Enjoy!
Regina and David were woken up at 4:37 A.M. This wasn't an unusual occurrence, rather, it was a pretty much daily one. Their daughter, Isabelle, was clearly a morning person, either that or she was just so energetic she couldn't stay asleep until a reasonable hour.
Unfortunately, neither David nor Regina could be qualified as a morning person, so they had begun taking it in turns. "It's your turn, Regina" he said, before promptly rolling over and falling asleep again. Regina sighed, having really thought that she'd be able to get out of it.
"Of course dear" she muttered, before saying to Isabelle "I see my little girl is up early again this morning" not quite being able to help the smile that graced her lips every time she saw her daughter.
"Yeah Mommy" Isabelle replied, loudly, clapping her hands excitedly. Regina laughed as David put is head underneath the pillow in a desperate attempt to cling to sleep. "Mommy, I hungry" Isabelle said, poking Regina in the arm repeatedly.
"Well then, I think I should make the little princess some breakfast, shouldn't I" she said, making Isabelle cheer excitedly, and run out of the room, still yelling. She merely shook her head at the four year old's antics and pulled the covers off of her, shuddering at the cold morning air hitting her skin.
She began making pancakes, after turning on the Disney Channel for Isabelle, who was immediately entranced by the animated characters on the screen. It was about halfway through making the batch that David lumbered in, only to immediately fall on the couch. Isabelle, upon seeing her father, cheered, and jumped on him.
He got up after that.
"Well, if you're done" Regina said, watching them, quite amused with the whole situation,:breakfast is ready."
As Regina watched her daughter and husband race to see who could get there first, she laughed, and couldn't help but think that life was pretty good.
