The world of Terraria, nothing but grass and trees, along with other biomes like the desert and snow. There was no life, no sound, but then something started happening. It looked like a green balloon inflating, but it was no balloon. It was a green slime! It may not seem interesting, but that is what started everything! Suddenly, one monster after another starting growing and some just appearing.
The world of Terraria was starting to seem like a very lively place. But then, boom! A metorite that seemed to be made of obsidian crashed right next to the desert! That wasn't obsidian though, it was ebonstone! This could spread corruption across any living thing, causing it to become a darker, more evil monster. Somehow, this all happened on one little island on the entire planet. But that was the only bit of land there. The rest was a vast ocean, full of living beings way before there were living things on land. This allowed there to be more advanced creatures in the ocean than there were on land. The world of Terraria is starting to shape into what it will stay like for a while, until another little creature pops out of nothing.
It is called the Guide. He was a very simple person, so simple in fact that he didn't even know how to build himself shelter. That's when another creature appeared. It was called James. The second he spawned, he chopped down trees, killed slimes that were unlucky enough to stumble upon him, and took things out of random chests scattered around the world. These random chests were placed in very specific places as if they were made for James to collect. It was like someone placed him in the world, seeing if he would find every neat little thing hidden in the world. Although it'd be nice for this to be true, this wasn't the case.
