A/N: Hullo! This is my first fanfiction on this account and I hope you enjoy!
The dust covering the dark palace walls just seemed to be extra dirty and the screams from the fields of punishment were louder than usual. Hades just knew that today was going to be a bad day. His day started off normal, but Hades was sure that something horrible was about to happen. He sat on his dark throne, staring off into space as Persephone talked on and on about how mad Demeter was when she spilled her bowl of whole wheat cereal.
"And she just talked forever about how us gods should appreciate the amount of effort she puts in cereal making.", Persephone ranted. "But honestly, why would all powerful gods like us want to eat disgusting mortal foods when we have ambrosia and nectar? "
A crash sounded from outside the throne room, sending Hades bolting off his throne.
"What in Posiedon's salty swim shorts was that!?", Persephone shrieked.
A second later, a very angry Alecto flew in, with a body in each claw. Hades groaned inside. He thought that maybe Persephone complaining like a two year old was what would mess up his day but it turned out that something even worse was about to happen. "Alecto!", Hades said, planting a fake grin on his face. "Why have you brought two dead mortals into my throne room? "
The girl in Alecto's left claw brought her head up. "We're not dead.", she spat bitterly. "We're not mortals either. We're demigods."
"They were trying to break in.", Alecto sneered. "They deserve to die."
"Certainly.", Hades agreed. "But before you kill them, I would like to know why they were trying to break in and destroy my wonderful palace in the process."
This time the boy in Alecto's right claw spoke up. "My lord.", he said sarcastically. "You do know that we could talk right?"
"Zip it.", Alecto hissed.
The boy raised his eyebrows. "What if I don't?"
Alecto bared her fangs in the boy's face and groweld. The boy did not look scared at all. He simply shrugged with his shoulder that wasn't in Alecto's grip.
"ENOUGH!", Hades boomed. "Now, Alecto, drop the demigods."
Alecto reluctantly dropped the boy and girl. The two half-bloods got back up to their feet, but didn't show any sign of wanting escape.
"Now,", Hades continued, addressing the demigods. "What could you possibly want?'
The girl smiled. "We don't want anything. We are just here to deliver a message."
"And what could that possibly be?", Hades inquired.
"There's another one."
Hades frowned. "Another what."
"Another child of the underworld of course.", the boy said. "I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know."
Alecto flew over to Hades's side and hovered above his ear. "My lord,", she hissed. "Did you have another affair?"
Hades shook his head. "That's impossible. You lie."
"We don't lie.", the boy said. "This child is obviously not yours. She is more powerful than an average demigod and will make or break the greek world."
Hades snorted. "If this is another Perseus Jackson situation then I choose to not be apart of it."
The girl crossed her arms. "You can tell yourself that. But it's inevitable. There's no way you are going to be able to avoid this current situation. If you see the child, tell her to find the Safe."
"The what?"
"The Safe."
Hades sighed. "You know what, I've had enough of these two liars." he waved at Alecto. "Kill them."
