"Sooo, what was it?" Charlie turned to Dorothy with a look of slight concern on her face.

"What was what?" Dorothy responded absent mindedly, looking out the carriage window at the acres of Quadling country flying by.

"Why'd you want me to come to OZ with you?"

Dorothy turned to her friend and smiled,

"I think the real question is why you came along." With a contented smirk she pulled her legs up onto the cushion she she was sitting cross-legged, her knee brushing the side of Charlie's leg.

It was a small carriage maybe more of a cart, but with a roof and walls.

"But you know why I came, that's the whole point. It's not like I'm all that much of a fighter. Are you seriously telling me this is all just out of the kindness of your heart?" They both paused, looking at eachother.

"Something like that." The corner of Dorothy's lips lifted, her eyes crinkling around the edges. "Don't worry about it Red. I'm sure you'll come in handy." They both smiled and turned to look out their respective windows.
