Hey guys! This is my first Percy Jackson/HOO oneshot, so please enjoy!

Piper's world was falling apart. She had been pacing the deck of Argo II while Leo tinkered with some objects when she saw him fall.

Jason.

She was pacing the ship, biting worriedly at her lip when she saw a commotion on top of the cliff. She looked up and saw him falling. He wasn't flying, no, he was falling. His blonde hair streamed above him as he fell. Piper heard a scream, but her world felt too muffled to fully register it, because Jason was falling, and Percy couldn't protect him.

It wasn't until later that Piper realized she was the screamer, because Jason was falling down, and he wasn't flying. When the turtle snapped him up her voice opened in horror. Piper knew she would never see turtles the same way ever again.

"NO!" she wailed, rushing to the deck. She felt Leo wrestle her arms behind her back, his body shaking with the effort. Bells and sirens rung in the background as Festus let out a gout of fire.

"No...No." she kept whispering, not wanting to believe he was dead. Jason was so much to her. He couldn't be dead, not now.

"Piper…" Leo started.

"Don't." she choked out, her entire body shaking with the effort to not cry.

"No, Piper!" Leo said, his voice raising in volume. "Look!"

His urgency caused Piper looked to where his finger was pointing through blurred eyes and saw a blonde figure rocketing through the air.

"What?" she breathed, her brain puzzled. She saw him die.

"Hazel's been working with the Mist." Nico told her softly as he approached them.

Piper had heard of the Mist. It was the mystical veil that stopped mortals from seeing the reality of the world.

"She controlled it?" Leo asked.

"Yeah." Nico nodded. "To make others believe the untrue."

Piper gave a little shake before turning around the wrap her arms around Leo, calming herself down.

"She's too good." Piper mumbled.

"It's alright Piper." Leo soothed her. "Told you Sparky couldn't die."

Piper took a shaky breath and sighed. She was so glad Jason wasn't dead, because if he was Gaia would pay.
