The first thing he noticed was the blood.
It dripped from the ceiling and was smeared on the walls.
The second was the remains of animal, a fox by the looks of it. He glanced down at his claws, which at this point had been completely covered in blood.
Grrrrr…
"I guess I'm hungry" looking down at the fox's head, he couldn't help the urge to pull out the flesh and feel the flesh grind between his teeth, blood seeping through his fangs.
Grrrrrrrr…
Picking up the head, face frozen in that of horror and fear, he couldn't help but to laugh. "I'll help with that stupid expression" he muttered smiling, but with no humor. He scooped the flesh with his bear hands, remorsefully, he looked down at all the wasted blood. Pity.
As he finished his meal, the door opened, who it could be at this time of night, he couldn't fathom, but either way, his reaction was priceless. A gasp echoed through the house.
"Sonic? Tails?" the red echidna was stricken with horror as he took a step into the house. "You guys…" he said slowly, "this better be paint. His voice faded as he saw Sonic covered with blood.
"Yeesssss Knucklesssss?" Sonic hissed out, taking a step towards his friend. Knuckles took a slow step back and held up his hands as if trying not to startle a frightened animal.
"H-hey buddy, j-just t-take it ea-easy, okay?" taking a deep breath he was just able to stutter out a few words. Taking another step back, he stepped onto a pile of entrails.
"You gonna eat that?" Sonic asked cruelly. "It would be such a waste not to, andI can't eat it now that you stepped on it,"
"WHAT!?" Knuckles shouted, completely forgetting his fear for a few seconds. Soon he felt tremors go through his body, he had made a mistake entering this house of blood alone. He knew he was a gonner, and the only thing left to do was to fight. "Why-" he was cut short as a clawed hand impaled him and tore out his heart.
"I like my prey silent," Sonic now stood at his full height. His black quills gave away nothing relative to his position, but the red blood gleamed in the moonlight, matching his eyes.
"Looks like I have dinner tonight" Sonic smiled.
