Shino vs. Gaara
"The first two contestants of the Chunin Exams are Shino Aburame and Gaara!" "Shino.. good luck." said Hinata. "Thank you, Hinata." replied Shino. "You had better beat him, Shino." said Kiba. Shino nodded silently, then jumped down into the arena. Shino stood and analyzed his opponent. Red hair, a tattoo, a huge gourd on his back. Gaara stared at Shino with a cold intent to kill. My opponent seems as if he might be tough, thought Shino. I'll have to be on my guard. "Go!" said the announcer.
"Parisitic Insects Jutsu!" A swarm of black insects flew from Shino's outstreched arms and buzzed torwards Gaara. Gaara jumped backwards & pulled out shuriken that appeared to be made of sand. He threw them at Shino, who put his arms over his face in an attempt at defense.
TCHK! TCHK! TCHK! Shino flew backwards and crashed into the wall, then slid down and landed with a thud. "Shino!" said Hinata. "No... Shino..." growled Kiba angrily. Shino's corpse then vanished with a loud pop. A rock was in it's place. Gaara's face flashed with surprise for a second, then returned to it's normal angry glare. Meanwhile, Shino's insects honed in on Gaara. A defensive wall of sand rose to block them. The bugs hit the wall with a dull thud.
Then, the real Shino jumped from a nearby tree with a drawn kunai in hand. Gaara turned around just in time, and a thin stream of sand extended to stop Shino. "Ugh!" Shino grunted as he was thrown to the ground. He slid along the floor, leaving a trail of dust in his wake. Damn, thought Shino, My opponent is pretty tough. Shino slid to a halt. He jumped to his feet and leapt into a nearby tree."You can't escape your death, fool." said Gaara in a cold, menacing voice. Shino crouched down in the shadow of the leaves and formulated a plan. He then relayed orders to the Kikiachu, his parisitic destruction beetles.
Gaara searched for his enemy among the trees. Suddenly he saw a shadow, a dark figure roughly his opponent's size. He sprang torwards it, a huge fist of sand extending to destroy Shino.
POP! Shino appeared right behind Gaara, throwing his kunai knife at point blank range. Gaara turned around in midair and raised his arms to block, but he was too late. SPLLLTTHH!! Blood sprayed from Gaara's chest as the kunai went in.
His corpse landed in a crumpled heap. Blood oozed and bubbled from his body. The Kikiachu disassembled from Shino's approximate size and shape, then returned to their master. "Never underestimate an opponent, no matter how weak they may seem." said Shino.
Kankuro jumped down into the arena to retrieve his brother's body. Blood streamed down his hand as he carried his deceased sibling's corpse to his sister. Temari stared ahead in shock at Gaara's death. Kiba laughed cruelly. "You sure showed him, Shino."
"Good job, Shino." said Hinata.
"The winner is Shino Aburame!" called the announcer, and the crowd applauded loudly.
