It was November 1 and ghosts from both camps were given a chance to go back to the world of the living only to congratulate both teams in defeating the Mother Earth Gaea. Jason strolled along the strawberry fields of Camp Half-Blood thinking of how Demeter's children could make a fruit so tempting to eat. Even after the war and all the buzz happening, it wasn't neglected.

"I wish that's how gods treat their children." Jason whispered as if no one could hear him from there.

A cold breeze gently went through Jason and in front of him was a lady. She was wearing a long white dress covering her toes as she was 3 feet above the ground, her hair flowed gently like a grass into the breeze. She was mesmerizing yet her features are quite familiar.

'Her face, her figure, her presence, her aura, it all seems so recognizable.' Jason thought.

"I've come back for you just as I promised, my darling." She said in a tone he distinguished quite easily – His Mother.

" What do you want? Haven't you already nearly destroyed me in the face of those revengeful souls? Be gone!"He then put three fingers up into my chest just as he did back then to make it her disappear.

Sadly this time, it didn't work.

"Aren't you supposed to be clearly happy to see me once again my son? Just as I am here for you?" She asked with a hint of curiosity as her lines showing. Jason, as the man he was now, stood up tall and proud hearing those words as if it was just an illusion.

"No. I am not." he replied looking down, pride swallowing him. He has never wanted to see her face again and yet she's standing there in front of him. – Face to Face.

"It's a shame I've expected the same feelings as I have for you right now." She's clearly disappointed as she told him those bitter sentences. He made no reply towards it, the pain is holding him, grasping Jason into its hands.

"I've come here to tell you how proud I am for you. My only son. Your challenges were difficult and impossible yet with your leadership towards your friends, you've defeated them all. I may not be the proudest mother alive yet I am the happiest mother anyone will ever meet." She said while she was holding back a tear. Happy? Yes from the outside yet pain and bitterness took over her, inside.

He has always longed for a mother and her words deeply bulged in into his heart. Yes, she has been the trouble-maker, the drunk-for-no-good mother and yet…

" I wish you could forgive me. I haven't appeared on Thalia's side fearing I might be rejected."

Rejected? Jason wanted to laugh at those words to break the silence but it is better to remain silent.

" Forgiving is easy but forgetting, that's different." he replied.

As Jason looked up to meet her face, she was trying to hug him, opening her arms wide, but it seems as though she couldn't touch her son, fearing that her presence will vanish as he will touch her.

"I suppose another chance won't hurt." he tried to manage a smile but tears came flowing by.

This may be the god's doing, his father's doing. The Fates isn't so bad after all.
