I just need a hug

Callie just came out of her second surgery, the baby was alive, and Arizona could breathe again. There was a small cot set up in Callie's room, because Arizona would take turns with Mark sleeping there. As soon as they found that she would be in recovery and the baby was alright, they looked at each other looked at each other. Arizona's lip was trembling and she nodded. Mark took that nod and ran with it. He walked over and hugged the blond. She wrapped her arms around his waist and he cradled her head to his chest. Tears came from both their eyes but they just didn't care anymore. Arizona seemed like she hated Mark most of the time, but really she was amazed at how much he still loved Callie, even if it wasn't in a girlfriend way.

Once they hugged, Arizona broke down and asked if Mark would sleep next to her. No rude comments or "I knew you liked me" statements; he just slid in the bed next to her. He wasn't sure if she wanted him to hold her but eventually she rolled over and clung to him. He brushed the hair away from her face and they both fell asleep, their adrenaline finally wearing off.
