She felt so good in his arms so right like she was made for him and he for her. She never wanted to move from this spot, She loved his smell the feel of his strong arms around her, than it was over. He got up and gave her his hand to help her off of the ground. "Carter, are you hurt?" "No sir, just a little dazed is all. I wasn't expecting that explosion, sir." "Nether was I." Jack replied. "I'm just glad that it missed us." Jack dusted himself off and then rearranged his hat. Sam was busy talking to Daniel, making sure that he and Teal'c were also unharmed. Jack used that time to try to clear his mind. It had taken all his will power not to kiss Sam when he had held her in his arms. All he could think about was how good she had smelled. It wasn't like he had no self control it was that she was just so damn cute when she was startled. It felt good to hold her in his arms, without fearing what people would say. When asked about it he would simply reply, "I was just doing my job, trying to protect one of my team members." of course he wouldn't mention that fact that he got great pleasure from the feel of her body against his. Those moments they shared together were both short and few. Jack had come to learn to cherish them. Sam came over and brushed some dirt off of Jack's shirt that he had missed. "I see you can"t get enough of me." He joked. Sam blushed and stumbled across her words. "I umm... You just missed... I wasn't trying..." "Lighten up Carter I was just teasing. You sure you're okay? That grenade came pretty close to getting you." "I'm fine sir, thanks to your quick reactions." "Yeah. let's not give Daniel anymore grenades. I'm afraid that I might not stop him in time from blowing us all up. "It wasn't my fault!" Daniel whined. "There was this bug..." He stammered. Teal'c tried hard not to smile as he looked Daniel in the eye. "Indeed?" He asked. "Well, it was really really big." Daniel said with a convincing wince, "Sorry." Jack laughed and patted him on the back. "Don't worry Danny, next time I'll hold the grenade." Daniel rolled his eyes and picked up his fallen glasses "I'll never live this one down."
