First Fan fiction! I hope you like it! Not many people have read the TroubleTwisters series but I loved it! =)
Disclaimer: I do not own the TroubleTwisters, if I did, well, this fan fiction would be in the story.
Jack's POV
Jaide and I were on the small ledge of the lighthouse. The ledge wasn't there before, we kind of caused it t be there. It happened about a month ago, when The Evil had tried to get us in its clutches. We defeated it, and we actually have had a month of peace. Of course, we still lived at Grandma X's. We didn't mind anymore. It was fun getting our powers trained and playing the cats. Anyways, we had used our powers to get up to this ledge. (It's kind of impossible to get up here without them.) I went to the dark side of the lighthouse and shadow traveled up. Jaide used her powers to control the winds and floated up. My powers were almost completely controlled. Jaide, on the other hand, still had a slight problem with her powers. Whenever she was up in a high place (the lighthouse is an example) the wind would want to take her. She always tried to think heavy thoughts, but I guess it was harder. I helped her by putting my arm around her shoulders. At first, she would deny it and say she could hold herself down. That was just her personality. At the end, I would always win. By now, she just gave up and let me.
Soon, we were watching the sun go down and the moon starting to come clearer. Jaide yawned at started slump onto me. I smiled and said, "Maybe we should go back to Grandma X's, it's getting pretty dark." Jaide nodded absently and slipped off the ledge. I watched her go down and went to the darker side. I was swallowed in the shadows and slipped down. By the time I got to the bottom, Jaide was clutching onto the side of the lighthouse muttering, "I'm heavy, I'm heavy, I'm heavy." Her feet were already off the ground. I chuckled and swung my arm around her shoulder again. Once she touched the ground, she sighed in relief and looked up at me gratefully. She took one step and smiled back at me, "Race ya to the door!" and took off with me hot on her heels.
I past Jaide and made it to the door about a millisecond before. When she came she was panting and holding her knees. I laughed and she glared at me, but I could see the ends of her lips pulling up into a small, so I knew it was ok. We entered the house and sat down at the kitchen counter. Soon, we heard Grandma X's boots clip-clopping down the stairs. She sat at the other end of counter and slid two small boxes to us. "Your parents instructed me to give you two these." Jaide and I looked at each other curiously and simultaneously opened the boxes. Inside were thin, slick, cell phones. Our faces broke into identical grins. "Sweet, cell phones!" Jaide exclaimed. We looked up at Grandma X. Her face showed sadness. "What's wrong Grandma?" I asked. She took a deep breath, "I'm so sorry TroubleTwisters. You must be separated." All the color drained from our faces, "What?" Jaide breathed. Her face was completely pale with disbelief. She looked like she was fighting tears. Grandma took another deep breath, "It happens in all lives of TroubleTwisters. Your powers are starting to interfere with each other. Your parents know about it. Jaide, you're going to stay with your mother. Jack, you're going to stay with your father." I felt like screaming in her face, but Jaide beat me to it, "You can't do that!" Tears streamed down her cheeks and she jumped off her stool and ran upstairs. Soon, I heard our bedroom door slam closed.
