Dancing with tears in my eyes

A drabble. I heard a song on the radio yesterday and this is the result.

DANCING WITH TEARS IN MY EYES

"Did I ever tell you that Terry and I went dancing the night before she died?"

"No, you didn't."

"Well, we did. I thought it was a bad idea but she insisted."

"Yeah, she was a lady who knew what she wanted."

"Yeah she was."

"You had a good time?"

"I guess so. She had a good time anyway."

" That's good isn't it?"

"Yes."

"Where did you go?"

"We stayed at my place."

"But you were dancing?"

"Yeah, I'd lit candles and she picked the music."

"Romantic."

"She never saw that I was dancing with tears in my eyes."
