End of Chapter
By Kia
Kato lit
his cigarette and then spend some time watching the smoke drifting slowly
towards the sky.
It tasted
awfully. He never knew why he even smoked that stuff.
But it had
a kinda relaxing effect, he couldn't deny that. So, maybe that was why he
did smoke but it didn't explain why Kira did. That guy always seemed
relaxed. While Kato had more problems with life than he liked anyone else to
know.
He looked
down to his feet.
'Well,' he
thought. ''Life' isn't the right word anymore, I guess.'
It didn't
matter. He'd had his problems in life and after dying four times already, they
still wouldn't go away. They had only changed.
And
Setsuna? Setsuna was a problem! Okay, he was kinda cute and could be
really nice sometimes. He like that baka. The problem was, that Kira liked him,
too. Liked him much more, than he probably wanted to admit. Because he was the
damn reincarnation of his beloved Alexiel.
Or because
he was simply Setsuna?
Well, it
didn't matter. Fact was, that Kato would have been really happy if he had only
once gotten as much affection from Kira as that boy did. But, the second
Setsuna showed up he was forgotten like everyone else. That hurt. More, than he
liked to admit, even to himself. And Setsuna never even knew it. He woud
probably never know what his dear Senpai really thought of him. But he had his
sister to love. He didn't need Kira that way.
Kato had no
one. Never had anyone. He didn't need. Didn't need anyone but himself. Because
he knew he would never get anyone else.
And now
'Kira' was gone. There was nothing left of him.
Or was there?
No. Maybe
Lucifer looked like him, but nothing else. Kira might have always been Lucifer,
but Lucifer wasn't Kira.
Or was he?
It didn'd
really matter. Kato threw away his cigarette. He picked up Shiranui and left to
follow Setsuna, Uriel and the others.
Etemenanki.
That was, where they were doing to. However, Kato knew that he would never see
it.
Whatever
story was going to be written down here, his part in it was small and
unimportant. And whatever would happen on their way, he knew his chaper would
end there. This time for real.
He welcomed
it.
