A/N: A caution: if you thought my other stuff was heart breaking, watch out because here come the water works. I almost cried when I finished writing this, so it must be pretty sad. It is really incredibly adorably sweet though. It was written with thoughts of death, but a peaceful one, like when you die amongst loved ones (LOTR), or after a great victory (Gladiator), or simply in your sleep (Bicentennial Man). As you can see this is a shout out to all of my favorite movies where the or one of the main characters dies. I also wrote this as an end of the school year type thing, since this is my last year at Middle School (Halleluiah!) So without further gilding the lily and with no more ado, I give you my tear inflicting: The End of Days…

The End of Days

We've come to it at last,

After all these many years,

After all the work we've done,

After all the blood and tears.

I can see it now, an ending,

Filled with songs of happiness,

Instead of anger and with hatred,

That always filled the emptiness.

I think I'll go away now,

I do not think I shall return,

I have wandered off afar,

And I still have yet to learn,

How to be a human,

How to love and how to cherish,

All I've ever known before,

Is how to live so not to perish.

But now, I may be at peace,

I may at last finally, be put to rest,

Please, do not cry for me,

You know that I love you best.

This feeling is strange to me,

Could it perhaps be completion?

Do not weep for I do not wish to leave you,

Filled with sorrow and deterioration.

The time has come, I must go now,

I leave you, I hope, with a dream on a star,

I know you will always think of me fondly,

I know you'll always with me, though I roam near and far.

Farewell, my love!

For I'm off at last,

We will meet again I know,

For as surely as the sun sets and rises,

I will never forget our past…
