Snicker Doodles

Keith realizes he shouldn't worry about Veronica so much.
Note: My first foray into the adult minds of Veronica Mars fandom.
Keith smiles as he eats the still-warm snicker doodle that he'd taken from Veronica's left over batch.
He remembers when Lianne decided to teach Veronica to bake. It was a day full of broken eggs and loud smoke detectors, but when he bit into one from Veronica's last batch of the day, it was good. Almost as good as if Lianne had made it herself.
Now Veronica was baking snicker doodles again, all by herself. She hadn't attempted them since she made some for Duncan for the ride to the city soccer championships. Then they broke up. Logan and Lilly broke up not to long after. And then Lilly died. Veronica hadn't made snicker doodle's since Lilly's death.
Keith worried about all the changes he saw in Veronica after Lilly's death, especially after Lianne left. She cut her hair, she started wearing clothes he didn't even know she owned. She quit the pep squad, she spent more time at home then out with friends.
Veronica never told Keith about what the kids at school put her through, but he always had an idea. They treated her much like the majority of Neptune treated him.
But now Keith welcomed the time Veronica spent with him. He liked her sometimes outrageous clothing choices. And he liked that it was Wallace's turn to revel in Veronica Mars' baking talents. Keith couldn't think of a more deserving kid.
