Disclaimer: I do not own Bleach (though I really wish I do) and do not make monetary gain from this poem.
I love Kuchiki Byakuya, probably because I identify (like some readers, I think) with his great loss and his having to suppress any display of emotions due to his status / duties. I was looking at the moon the other day, reminiscing about someone dear to me who was already gone and I came up with this idea.
Hope you like it! ;-D
"Full Moons And Sakuras"
I had a walk last night
Rooftop to rooftop
Watching the full moon
Breathing the cold air
Feeling a little blue
And a little sad
Full moons are my best memories
The Good and the bad
My first love, an unforgettable phantom
Underneath a full moon
5 millenias ago
The same love lost
A night when the moon was full and ardent
And I saw you
Gazing at the moon
Underneath the old Sakura tree
Majestically unwavering on that portion of earth
At the centre of your mansion
Sadness in your eyes
Though your frozen face said nothing at all
You saw me
Casually gliding on your rooftop
But you didn't stop me
Why? I wondered
For you were one, I heard,
Warrior of principles
Of law and of rules
Looking back
I thought I saw
There was tiredness in your eyes
Bottomless pits of weary feelings
Too spent on misery
Too exhausted of pretence
Sayonara, moon-gazer
May you found solace in the sky that night
When the moon was full and ardent
And filled with promise to be loving for the night
