In honour of the announcement NCIS has just been renewed for two more seasons. It appears predictions Cote's departure would end the show were inaccurate. ;-)

Autopsy. Late one night a few weeks later.
A grinning DiNozzo is leaning back in a chair with his feet on Ducky's desk.
"I really wish you wouldn't do that Tony."
"Why? He went home ages ago. Afraid you'll get in trouble with teacher?"
"No. That's Dr Mallard's desk and it's not very respectful of you to treat it like that even if he isn't here." Jimmy replies in a determined tone.
"Oh." The feet are removed from the desk. "Why aren't you happy gremlin? Been out in the rain again? We've just pulled off a major success. You should be ecstatic."
"I am but I don't know what we're going to do now."
"What do you mean?"
"Well Zombie Criminal Investigative Service is doing well."
"Yes."
"And the sweeps special focussing on the character of Ziva David was a huge ratings hit."
"Yes."
"We are doing so well financially we should not need to worry if NCIS is ever cancelled."
"Cancelled? Not going to happen." DiNozzo states confidently.
"Or if we decide to retire then."
"Good point. So why aren't you happy?"
"We're doing well but we want to keep the shows focus on all the characters right?
"Yeah."
"So how are we going to keep those fans happy who want the focus on Ziva all the time?"
"Hmm. I think we need some help."
Abby's Lab. A few nights later.
"Yes. Yes. YES."
McGee turns from where he's sitting at the table hunched over a laptop to look at Abby seated at her desk.
"I've got it. Come and look at this." Tim walks over and reads the screen over her shoulder.
"You are a genius Abby. It's perfect."
"I know right but I can't take all the credit. What you said this morning got me thinking and this is the result. We're both geniuses." She frowns. "Genii? Whatever.
We have to show this to them right now." She grabs his hand and they rush from the lab to the elevator.
Autopsy.
Abby rushes in and starts to pull Jimmy by the hand not holding Tim's.
"We have to talk to Tony right now."
They return to the elevator.
Squad Room.
"Tony. Tony. Tony."
DiNozzo looks up from his computer. "What's up Abs?"
"Timmy and I have had an idea. We can pitch this concept to the network and all retire."
"Can we keep our original show the way it was with the characters working as a team."
"Yes. This plan will make everyone happy. Fans of the original and the special."
DiNozzo, McGee and Palmer stare at her as she paces back and forth.
"Well?"
She stops pacing and announces proudly "They need to create ZNN."
"ZNN? Sorry Abs, I don't get it."
"A network that's all Ziva 24/7. You've already developed Zombie Criminal Investigative Service now they need some other Ziva centric shows."
"Such as?"
"Days Of Our Ziva about Ziva's relationship with Ziva, Law & Ziva with Ziva dispensing revenge justice, Dr Ziva with Ziva providing advice on how to deal with complicated family dynamics and relationship advice, How To Get Away With Assassination. There could even be a shopping section where she sells knives."
"Abigail Beethoven Sciuto you are brilliant."
"Thank you sir." She curtseys to DiNozzo.
"There's just one thing I don't understand. The name. What's ZNN stand for?" Palmer is frowning.
"Isn't it obvious?"
Tony, Tim and Abby are grinning at him.
"No."
"The Ziva Nuts Network."
