"Sanny?"
"Yeah Britt-britt?"
"I get to pick the movie next time, right?" Brittany question was referring to Santana's choice of movie selection for movie night. The girls would each take turns in picking out which movie they would watch when Saturday evening rolled around. They would usually spend Friday night together—scratch that—they spent almost every night at each other's houses. Brittany and Santana were inseparable ever since they were little kids. Normally, every time it was Santana's turn to choose a movie, she would steer towards the horror/suspense section of the movie store. Santana would be so engrossed in the summary on the back cover of some over-gory horror movie, she almost wouldn't notice the pout slowly forming on Brittany's face. Almost. Santana knew a horror movie was the last thing Brittany wanted to watch, and because it was hard to refuse Britt, especially when she was pouting, Santana would usually put the horror movie back down and choose a Disney movie instead.
And Brittany's pout would disappear into the biggest smile.
But this time was different. Santana was getting pretty sick of sitting through cheesy Disney movies every week. Santana did enjoy the cutesy movies sometimes, and loved when Britt cuddled into during the film, but she needed to get her horror fix. And Brittany kind of felt bad that Santana never really got to make her choice.
So, that's how this time, they ended up in Santana's room with a not-too-too-scary movie in the DVD player. Once Santana got the movie set up she jumped herself into her bed to get settled next to Brittany, snuggling with her blonde girlfriend. Not too long into the movie Britt dipped her head to Santana's neck to avert her eyes from the screen. Screams were heard coming from the tv, causing Brittany to cover her eyes with her pale hands.
Santana was loving the movie, and loved how Brittany held onto her so close. She tore her eyes away from the screen when she felt something wet against her neck. She pulled back to meet a pair of blue eyes that were filled with tears. Santana immediately felt guilty for choosing a scary movie, she hated to see her girl upset. Reaching for the remote she ejected the movie and fumbled around with the DVD player.
From the bed, Brittany called, "San, what are you doing?"
A moment later Santana crawled back into bed, as Toy Story 3 began to play on the tv. "I got two movies. I'm sorry Britt, I shouldn't have made you watch that with me," Santana said, pressing a sweet kiss to the tip of Brittany's nose, then another one chastely to her lips. Brittany smiled wide, showing a slight dimple in her left cheek. Santana loved that smile, that perfect smile. It was all worth it to sit through another cliché Disney movie to sit to see that smile. And Santana smiled herself.
