Itachi was walking down a hallway when he heard someone crying in the room next to him. Curious, he opened the door to find Deidara. Deidara turned his head with tears streaming down his face. "W...What do you want Itachi, un?" Deidara said, trying to wipe the tears from his eyes.
Itachi went inside the dark room and sat next to the depressed Deidara. "First, what's wrong with you Deidara?" Itachi asked, concerned for the artist.
"...Sasori..." Deidara cried. "Deidara, it's okay. He's in a better place now." Itachi consoled.
The incident of Sasori's death occurred a few months ago so Itachi was surprised to know that Deidara was still sad about it.
"Itachi...why are you trying to cheer me up, un?" Deidara asked.
"Because I don't want to see you cry anymore."
"...but...Sasori..." more tears rolled down Deidara's face. "Please..." Itachi said, looking straight into Deidara's uncovered eye.
"But now...THERE'S NO ONE WHO LOVES ME THE SAME WAY SASORI DID!!" Deidara cried, raising his voice.
"..."
Itachi was speechless for a while. "...I do..." Itachi muttered. Deidara wiped the tears away from his right eye and looked at Itachi. "...w...what did you say?" Deidara said, a little surprised.
"I said that I love you the same way Sasori did...maybe even more. I guess...I was too shy to admit it before..." Itachi confessed.
Deidara chuckled a bit. "Itachi...shy?" Deidara asked, giggling. Itachi blushed.
"It's okay un. I understand." Deidara said, leaning his face closer to Itachi's. Slowly, they closed their eyes and their lips met, resulting in a kiss. They pulled away slowly and blushed. "Itachi..." Deidara murmured.
"y-yeah?"
"I won't cry anymore, un."
