Elincia woke up to the sound of rain pounding at the window. She looked over next to her to see that part of the bed empty. She then looked at a clock. She had slept in. This was unusual, because Geoffrey was normally the one to sleep in, not her.
She quietly got out of bed and put her robe on. She walked out of the bedroom and down the hall to the kitchen door. She heard yelling. It was Lucia's voice that she heard. She opened the door an inch so she could get a better look. Lucia was yelling at Geoffrey, who was kneeling on the floor, doing something.
"Look at this mess Geoffrey! I mean really, have you no shame?" Lucia yelled.
"It was only a few Nilla Wafer crumbs, which I am cleaning up now!" he yelled back.
"Don't do that! What would people say if they saw the King of Crimea cleaning?!"
"You get mad at me if I don't clean it up," said Geoffrey, standing up. "You get mad at me when I do. Make up your da- oh hi Elincia!"
Oh no, she'd been spotted. She then opened the door and walked through. Geoffrey walked over to her and smiled. He had a dustpan in his hand.
"Oh! Queen Elincia…I didn't realize you were there!" said Lucia suddenly. "You shouldn't have to sneak around your own house…"
"I woke up to find that Geoffrey wasn't there. That scared me, so I went looking for him." Elincia said.
"See what you did brother?" asked Lucia, who hit Geoffrey on the head, "You scared her because you wanted to be with your beloved Nilla Wafers!"
"I got hungry, and I didn't want to wake her. So I got up and left. There's no crime in that, is there?" he asked his sister.
"I bet you would've married that box-" she pointed to the box, "and it's contents if it was legal! You love those things more that you love your own wife!"
"Look, Lucia." He said, " Elincia is up here…" he lifted his arm as high as it could go, "and the Nilla Wafers are down here." He lowered his other arm as low as it could go.
"Oh, so the great Geoffrey of the Nilla Wafers likes something more that his Nilla Wafers? Hmm? So, where am I compared to your box?" she said sarcastically.
"You my sister are way down here…"he lowered his arm as low as it could go, "And the Nilla Wafers are way up here." He moved his other arm as high as it could go.
This angered Lucia, so she asked a question she would always regret.
"But I'm not the lowest, am I? You couldn't possibly love some one more that me, other that Elincia!"
"Actually, you are the lowest. Before you is Kieran because he gets on my nerves but he is cool, then Renning, because he beats my butt but he makes a great sparing partner, then Bastion, then Nilla Wafers. And a long way after the Nilla Wafers is Elincia."
"WHAT!!??" Lucia yelled. "Fine then, who is in between the Nilla Wafers and Elincia?"
"No one."
Lucia got so angry that she started hitting Geoffrey. Then she started to kick him. Then pulled on him. She did that for a while. And all Elincia could say was, "Aw, isn't Geoffrey sweet? I'm sure he loves you more, Lucia. He's just joking (I hope)."
