A timid knock. "Um…"

A growl. "What?"

"Are you going to be long?"

Belligerently, "So what if I am? It's my bathroom."

"Um…"

"What?"

"Well… I kind of need my toothbrush."

He eyes his reflection in the mirror, bares his teeth at it, and mutters under his breath, "He's not fooling me…"

"Huh?"

"What, idiot?"

"Didn't you say something?"

"No."

There's nothing in the meek tone to indicate the boy on the other side of the door is smiling, but nevertheless he has a small, annoying suspicion that it's true. "Oh. Well, in that case… I'll just wait…"

He humphs, washes his face, brushes his teeth, and gargles. Noisily. Then he spits it all out in a rush of water and a spluttering, "Would-- you-- quit that?"

Innocently, "Quit what?"

"Humming like that."

He's sure the boy is grinning, damn it. "Sorry, sorry. Just had an idea for a song…"

"Yeah, well, pity the poor audience that has to sit through that miserable tune." He scowls at his reflection one more time, bats hair out of his eyes (it promptly falls back) and steels himself. Then unlocks and opens the door.

"GOOD MORNING, YUKIIIIIIIIIIII!!"

Yuki makes a strangled, involuntary 'oof' as his ribcage is forcibly bruised, and suffers the greeting in silence. But Shuichi is still blissfully snuggling into him, and eventually, grudgingly, he raises his arms and returns the hug with a quick mutter.

"'Morning, idiot."
