The time for her performance was approaching. This wasn't the first time Kagome had participated in one of her school's festivals but she was still as nervous. Though it was not just the festival that had her like this.

Inuyasha lowered the cap on his head as they headed toward Kagome's school, "Don't worry, Kagome, I'm sure we'll find that jewel shard soon. Geez, you worry way too much. Plus, if any demons happened to get through the well with that shard then I'll take care of them." He cracked his knuckles with the finish of his sentence. When Inuyasha saw that Kagome still had a troubled look outlining her features he tried changing the subject, "Anyway, wasn't some famous girl supposed to be at your festival thing?"

Kagome gasped, "Yes! Oh my gosh, thanks for reminding me! I need to make sure to get her autograph or at least shake her hand or something!"

Inuyasha smiled inwardly at Kagome's lightened mood but managed to remain with his normal tough attitude, "What was her name anyway? And what's so special about her?"

"Her name is Lisa Katz, and she's only one of the most popular international singers. Not to mention she's just got to be filthy rich!" Kagome attained a dreamy look in her eyes, "It must be great being rich and famous. Everyone always fawning over you, getting whatever you want when you want it. Living in a big big house."

Inuyasha scoffed, "Feh! All I need are these right here." He said as he flexed his claws.

Kagome rolled her eyes, "Maybe in the feudal era those are most useful, but here, they'll get ya no where."

As the two turned a corner another girl, who looked to be about Kagome's age, bumped into them. The girl fell backwards but was caught by Inuyasha before she landed. She blinked at him with wide eyes and he scoffed and looked away as he stood her back up.

Kagome froze and stared in awe at the girl and Inuyasha poked Kagome, "Hey! What's wrong? We don't have time for this."

Kagome stammered out a name, "L...L....Li......Li...Lisa Katz?!"

The girl bowed slightly, "Hai, I am. And you would be...?"

Kagome bowed again and again while introducing herself and Inuyasha.

Lisa smiled at the pair, "You two make a cute couple."

This comment made Kagome and Inuyasha blush fiercly.

Lisa giggled at the sight and continued, "Are you both going to the festival today at..."

Before she could finish Kagome interupted, "Hai! In fact I'm going to be in the chorus."

Lisa brightened up, "Really?! Well, I got a secret to tell you. You look like nice people so I know I can trust you not to spread the news." She looked around to make sure no one else was listening and leaned in closer, "I'll be singing with your group on the last song."

Kagome almost let out a squeal when Inuyasha slapped a hand over her mouth and shook his head and sighed.

The famous girl smiled again, "Well, we better get going or we'll be late."

Kagome froze, "Y...y...y..you mean you want to walk with us?!"

Lisa looked confused, "Of course! I don't have many friends in this area since I spend most of my time in America or Europe. I'd love to walk with my newest friends."

"At this pace, we'll be lucky to get they by the end of the festival." Inuyasha frowned and grabbed the two girls' arms, one with each hand, and started dragging them along.

Sesshoumaru paused at the offer Naraku presented him with. He always wondered how come his younger brother would disappear in the bottom of the Bone Eaters Well. But it was none of his business, why should he care? There was still that little bit nagging at him though. Sesshoumaru nodded in agreement to the plan and Naraku handed him the shard. After all, it sounded like a fair enough deal. All he had to do was retrieve a young woman Naraku seemed interested in. How hard could that be?
