Disclaimer: I do not own Le Chevalier D'Eon. The song is OverNight by Aya.

Fly, sway, go all the way…
Lia awoke. She instantly felt the pain in her stomach. "Deliver my soul."
On the sword she was holding, blood started writing a psalm. "Put them in fear, oh Lord."
"That the nations" Lia stood up, her blonde hair flowing down her back. "may know themselves to be but men."
I'm in the same fate with you…
Lia raised her sword, with the cross her brother had ordered to be put into it facing her. "In the beginning," Her green eyes glared at the gargoyle standing before her. "there was the word."
She lowered the sword. "Deliver my soul."
I still believe in your love…
"The Lord brings my soul out of trouble," Lia said, still glaring at the gargoyle.
"He cuts off my enemies and destroys all those who afflict my soul."
"In the name of that truth and loyalty," She raised her sword until it was across her face. "I shall take my vengeance."
Trace the shadow of truth into the dark…
The gargoyle screeched and it ran at Lia, its sword extended. Lia successfully blocked every attack put upon her. The first chance she got, she stabbed its right shoulder. Blood and some white liquid came out of the wound.
Lia flicked the gargoyle's blood off of the sword. She inflicted three more wounds: the left shoulder, below that one, and below the first one, each of them parallel. With each wound, blood and a white liquid shot out from the gargoyle.
It screeched in pain as Lia tried to strike.
Forever…
The gargoyle blocked Lia's attack, holding its right shoulder. Lia blocked the attack it tried, breaking its sword.
Lia pointed her sword at the gargoyle's neck. It had a slit across the mark on its forehead. The liquid was now coming out through the slit and its eyes. It crippled, stumbling over by the shelves full of skulls within the dungeon. The gargoyle collapsed, grabbing a piece of the sword and pointing it at its neck.
Tears fall, vanish into the night…
The gargoyle's eyes changed as it ran towards Lia with the sword fragment.
Lia dodged its attack, crouching down and stabbing the gargoyle in the middle of the chest. More white liquid sprouted from the wound as it pushed the sword out of itself. Lia sat and watched, eyes still glaring, as the same substance came out of all the wounds.
The gargoyle fell against the shelves with skulls in them, groaning.
If I'm a sinner…
Lia, still in the same position, held her sword that was now glistening with blood as she glared at the gargoyle.
"Glory...to the king...His Majesty...is in...God's grace..." the gargoyle weakly said.
Lia stood up, looking at the now dead gargoyle. She gasped as she reached for her head. She collapsed, the sword holding her up for support. The bloody psalm it flowed until it just looked like blood. She fell over as Robin ran in and caught her.

D'Eon awoke. His eyes were blurry, but they focused to see the dead gargoyle—Bernice. He sat up, wide-eyed at the sight of his dead friend. "Bernice! I did this..." He looked at Robin. "Did I do this?" Robin only bowed his head.
D'Eon looked down and saw his bloody sword, surrounded by the white fluid. He crawled over to his lost friend. He held Bernice's shoulders as he bowed his head. D'Eon hugged his friend, lifted his head and screamed, "No!"
Chivalry, show me the way to go...

A/N: Yep. The sad tale. I only wrote this because I was bored. And I wanted to write a fic with Lia in it. Please review, but no flames.
