Explorations
The Doctor sighed as he walked into his TARDIS, telling Rose that she had to move on had been the hardest thing he ever had to do. In the past, he had been content to leave his assistants in their homes, disappearing without a trace. But Rose had been different, she was independent from him but also completely dependent on him. He had thought that, had things been different he could have loved her. "Why must it always be like this?" he sighed as he started to punch in some coordinates, the only sound in the echoing silence.
"Doctor! where have you been, I was worried sick!" Martha cried, as she burst through the TARDIS door.
"oh you know, around here, just talking to myself" he tried to joke
"I never know whether to believe you or not, when your all cryptic like that! but that doesn't change the fact that i thought you had gotten into trouble, who knows what could have happened..."
The Doctor smiled, Rose was never like this, he thought, she never worried about her family or friends as much as Martha does, although he had been pleased Rose chose him over Mickey the treatment he had received at her hand was appalling, her selfishness had almost destroyed two universes, but Martha, Martha was selfless, of course she had her own moments but she always put her family first. While Rose had always been worried about him her own survival was what she worried about first and foremost, and she couldn't do what she was told to save her life.
Martha continued chastising him before he stopped her, "but nothing did happen" he smiled "I'm fine, your fine and nothing that could have happened did, so really were ahead of the game aren't we?"
"Well yes, I suppose" she ground out "but don't think you're going to get off that easily every time" she warned
He smiled "so now we have that sorted where do you want to go?"
"I dunno anywhere i mean its not like i have a map of the universe ..." his eyes gleamed "... no way, you don't thats-" "impossible?" he suppled "no completely amazing" she closed her eyes and spun around pushing one of the plants on the screen at random, "Aurak Tishka, what a choice Martha, of all the planets in the universe?" "what is it?" she asked "Aurak Tishka is ruled by the beloved Queen Tish" Martha laughed "your kidding me? I have got to tell Tish about this she'd love it..." she laughed wildly as the doctor grabbed her arm pulling her out of the TARDIS
Yes, he thought later, it is best that rose moves on especially when I have too, he smiled down at martha as they watched the Aurak Tishka sun burn black giving the grass a purple tinge before leaning down to brush a kiss against her forehead.
