It Begins...

I couldn't stop panting. I am losing my breath. It's getting closer. CRAACK! What!? BOOM! Trees started to fall over! I need to make it to the town! It had gotten too dark to see... "Ahhhgg!", I fall and look back, a broke root lay there. I don't believe it, a stray root has brought me my death. I turned my body fully around, and there it was, staring at me, looking down into my soul. The thing was hovering over me, I was on my bottom waiting for the inevitable. For what happened to the others.

"Cmon Alex!", Christine was excited for the camping trip. Josh had already hopped into the white truck. It was a beauty, not big, but it gets me from point A to point B. The back was filled with bags and booze, snuck out from Ryan's abusive alcoholic no-good-for-nothing father, as he puts it. But there we were, Ryan, Christine & Josh, and me, Alex. I got the last of my things and came out towards the truck. At the corner of my eye I saw a man, raggedy, possibly homeless. I thought nothing of him at the time, but boy, do I regret that.

The truck started with a loud headed towards the states national forest reserves, untouched by humans. Well, that's a little white lie. Two years ago, 6 protesters from a big debate either to seal off the Seventy thousand square miles or not (and they wanted it to be free to roam), went in, but never came out. But we were going to record everything. "Aye, stop it Josh", I shouted to the backseat. "Oh shut it Alex, just cause you can't get a girlfriend doesn't mean you have to ruin it for the rest of us." I grunted as they made out more. "Oh no, I forgot…", Ryan started, "Don't you even Ryan," "My, my, my…" "Your what?" "My beer is too far to reach; Aahahahahahahaha, you should have seen your face there". I gave him the look of disapproval. "Lighten up dude. You're going to have to spend three days in the Wilderness, literally.". We drove on for another three hours.

"We are here at last!" Ryan exclaimed. We had parked right outside a fence that blocked anything from going inside. Josh hopped out to go see if there was a lock. "No lock! Just Fence!" He called back. He came back and pulled out some wire cutters. "Where in the world did you get those!?" I asked pushingly. "Oh, I never comed un-prepared." He cut the fence, rolled it back, and waited for the Others to follow. "Are you all ready for three long, scary, and mysterious days as Trespassing Detectives?" and, with that remark, we went on our way to set up camp.
