This is my first time writing a story so please be gentle with the criticism.
Took the idea from the Smash Bros. universe a bit.
Wanted to see how it would be if there was more than just Nintendo universes crossing over for shenanigans
Alan slammed his hand down on the snooze button of his alarm clock.
He hated having to wake up for a "normal" job. He hated that his current combat acting job was on hold. He wanted to get back into game combat. Sadly his favorite part wasn't going to come back any time soon, and his other big game job was cut out from under him by another.
Fucking asshole bit player stealing the best job opportunity he had in years.
Hopefully Rooster studios would call back..and hopefully they made his combat character less of a wimp. Why did he ever let Kierra talk him into getting that job?
Yes the pay was good. Yes Kierra had been his best friend since they worked on Dark Dawn together. But he hated the role of Jaune Arc.
Alan was a sword fighter, he wasn't too good with a shield. The character getting smacked around a lot wasn't a good confidence booster either.
Yes he had taken worse hits in his game roles but he was able to respond to those, not lay on the ground like he was dying.
But Cross-wood was where people came to make a name for themselves, for crying out loud.
Cross-wood was a planet where the multiverses were turned into entertainment for the Real World, in some media format.
Writers and variants viewed the multiverses through portals, take what they observe, or some variant of it. They then present it to a studio to get turned into a game, show, or book for the Real World, via receivers (real world authors and writers). There were actors to play every role.
So far Alan Friggin had two game jobs, first as Matthew from Golden Sun Dark Dawn in combat, and as Robin in Fire Emblem Awakening in combat. He had some problems adapting to the different class variants, but he got through it.
He had one show job as Jaune Arc's combat double.
He was still pissed at that one asshole for stealing the role for Robin in Smash out from under him. Alan was the one who did all the big fights, and the little ones, while that guy only did the role for Grima Robin...jack ass.
Not that working for Rooster Studios was all bad. He met a lot of good people, even the guys who worked in Blue Vs. Red, which Alan worked a bit in for a few seasons.
He got along well with the other actors from RWBY well. They were good people...but no one was happy with the ending of season 3.
All these thoughts Alan had as he was getting ready and on his way to work at a book store part-time. Book stores and movie stores were actually really popular in the Cross verse. All the shelves were filled with different variants of universes that the studios didnt want to use or didnt fit with the route they were going with a series.
Alan went to the back employee only area and saw that he was assigned stock duty today, mostly boring work, walking around the shelves filling in blank areas with either new books or restocking old ones.
Alan then out his stuff in his locker and went about his shift, hoping nothing eventful would happen.
That's the story for now. Next chapter i will explain more of the Crossverse hopefully.
