RED EYE

In flux, the elvan traveller's hair
flies into the mountain smirr.
Once rilled in the cleft of his spine
now sinuous strands rise in spate.
Rivulets lift, rear and are wind-thrown.
Halo'd, his pale face is the lens
of a bloodshot, sightless eye.
