"There were stars in her eyes and a blazing crown upon her head," was all you would hear from him as he sat there in Rose's room. He was sitting in the chair by her bed remembering the dream he had had just an hour ago.

In his dream Rose had been standing in the control room of Satellite 5 with the T.A.R.D.I.S. open behind her and golden light spilling out. He had been shocked to see her at all. Relief washed over him rather quickly though when he realized that the light had no effect on either of them. He froze again when she turned to look at him. There had been stars burning in the depths of her eyes and some had created a blazing crown upon her head. She stared at him for a long moment. He called her name hoping she would say something, anything to keep him from running to her if she didn't want him close. Her next words however shocked him to the core of his being.

"My Doctor… I gave up my normal happy life for you once, but then you told me that we could never be. I couldn't resist the song any longer. The vortex has sung to me every day since our first trip through time. While I was with you I could ignore it, it was so simple to just concentrate on you and the excitement of the next new world. However, with you gone I had plenty of time to dwell on the song of the Bad Wolf. Now Bad Wolf and I are one. I looked into the vortex through the song she sang for me in the depths of my mind. I allowed myself to give in to the melody. Now I will remain the Bad Wolf until you and I are reunited. Only you can save me Doctor. Only you can quiet the song of the Wolf." She stopped speaking for a moment and then spoke one final line. "I am waiting for you where you told me to forget you ever existed." With that she turned and stepped into the light of the vortex, for that was the light that was issuing from the T.A.R.D.I.S. All he could do was stare after her. As soon as she was gone he had gotten up and run to her room.

He suddenly realized what she had meant by "I am waiting for you where you told me to forget you ever existed," and ran to the control room. He began furiously punching buttons and flipping levers in an attempt to reach the street on which he had explained the feeling on the spining of the Earth. As soon as he landed he was out the door. He knew she wasn't there but he could feel her presence now just as he had for every second of their seperation. He had let her go in an attampt to give her a normal life, but he had failed to live his own life in the time since their seperation. He quickly strode to the spot where he had explained everything to her and paused knowing that something would happen. Soon the area in front of him began to glow with the light of the vortex and he was forced to look away from the spot on which he knew Rose - or was he to call her the Bad Wolf? - was standing.
