Day 1-Sweaters

A/N: So this is the first fanfiction I'll be posting on this account and it's about one of my favorite pairings ever: NaruSaku! I suppose it's kind of late to be starting the Winter Writing Challenge (that I found on Tumblr by the way), but even so I really want to do it! So, without further ado, let's start with the first prompt, sweaters!

It was a cold winter night and Sakura was spending it alone in her house. Her parents had gone on a mission and she had the house all for herself. She thought she would be happy since they finally left her alone, but it wasn't much fun freezing by herself.

As if someone had seen her thoughts, she soon heard a knock on the door. A knock that she was all too familiar with and it belonged to the person she wanted to see the most.

She rushed up from the couch, throwing the blanket off of herself and quickly walked over to the door. As she opened it, she was greeted by a gush of wind and blond hair. She squinted, her eyes adjusting to the wind and noticed bright blue eyes smiling at her.

"Come in before we both freeze to death here!" she yelled out loud enough to be heard over the wind.

The figure walked inside and she closed the door right behind him, shivering and trying to warm herself up with her own hands.

"Woah! Nice house." Said Naruto as he made himself comfortable by throwing away his jacket and scarf.

Sakura trailed behind him, throwing a disapproving look at the clothes he had left on the couch on which she was making herself comfortable just seconds ago.

"It's not like you haven't seen it before. Also put your stuff somewhere else. I was sitting there."

"Oh right, sorry." Said Naruto while smiling sheepishly and rubbing his neck.

After he had moved his clothes to the other room, he came back to the living room and smiled when he found Sakura with her hands hugging her knees, trying to warm up.

"Hey, um, are you cold?" he asked, drawing her attention to him.

"Yes." She answered simply and turned her head to the fire in front of her again.

"Here." Said Naruto and went closer to her, taking a seat right next to her.

He lifted up his sweater, making Sakura stare at him in disbelief. After taking it off, he pulled it over both of their heads. Sakura stared in amazement at the sweater that could stretch so far as to be put on both of them without ripping at all.

"Isn't it going to rip?" she asked insecurely while looking at Naruto who still wore his sheepish grin.

"Nah, it'll be fine." He reassured her, but then another idea popped in his head. "Uh, I mean, unless your uncomfortable or somethin'…" he said while looking away in embarrassment.

Sakura smiled at his cute blushing face and simply shook her head.

"No, it's fine. It's warmer like this anyway." She said and scooted over to him until they were close enough that she could rest her head on his shoulder.

He was surprised at first, but after a while he put his head on top of hers. After a few minutes, he could hear her light snoring and knew that she was asleep. Tiredness was taking over him too, but he didn't dare move. Instead, he closed his eyes, giving in to his sleepiness.

Soon they were both sound asleep, taking comfort in each other's presence and assuring each other in their sleep that they will never leave.
