Remus Lupin

Spoilers for Deathly Hallows inside Short summary inside don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't read the book yet.

Short Drabble, just what I think happened when Remus died. I'm kinda ignoring the whole Tonks thing.

Remus looked around. He didn't understand – why was it suddenly so quiet? Where was the battle? In a rush, it hit him. He was dead. He had failed Harry. He fell to his knees, sobbing. He saw someone appear in front of him. It was Sirius – that only made him sob harder.

"I'm sorry, Sirius. I tried."

"I know Remus." Sirius said, pulling Remus up into a close embrace, "We all did."

Remus became aware of a few other figures behind Sirius – his friends, all of them, reunited at last. All of them had given their lives so that Harry Potter could save the world. Though none of them said it, one thought was in all of their heads – who would save Harry now?
