This is probably just a oneshot...or whatever.
There were words like Forever and Always, that meant everything to some and nothing to others. Words like Never and Goodbye that sealed the fates of everyone. And words like Okay and Fine that, no matter how you used them, were never the truth. Sometimes words were silly fickle things that meant what they didn't, words that hardly say what they mean or mean what they say. But that didn't stop the pain in your chest when you found out that he had left. That sharp ache that pierced your entire body.
It meant nothing.
You squash it down.
She begs you to bring her beloved Sasuke back, so you give her the biggest smile you can manage and the thumbs up of a lifetime. You give her a promise.
And when your on the road your friends, the ones that actually stay with you, they talk about strategy. They talk about how their going to bring Sasuke back to the village no matter what. And you believe them, you believe that bringing Sasuke back was going to be a piece of cake, that you can go back to fighting with him in no time.
It erases the pain.
You lose Chouji first, then Neji, next is Kiba and Akumaru, lastly Shikamaru. But you go one because they tell you to and they believe that your the only one that can bring Sasuke back.
And you know its true. The fact that every single one of them says that they'll be fine worries you, but you keep going anyway.
But then some asshole named Kimimaro blocks your path. And it makes you made because you know Sasuke is right around the corner and you can't get to him. So naturally you fight him, but he's strong and your tired. And Sasuke is so close.
Suddenly, though, Gaara's there and it's weird because the last time you saw him you were defending the Leaf from him. Ironically he helps you and your grateful because now you can finally get to Sasuke.
And Sasuke there waiting in some place you can't remember the name of. And it's almost as if he was waiting for you, waiting for you to take him back to the village so you can continue fighting with Sakura and pining over Sasuke. Or was it the other way around.
Your pretty shocked when Sasuke doesn't look like Sasuke and wings spurt of of Sasuke's back. You say words that he doesn't listen to and he says words that cut. So you continue fighting, you fight with true intentions of bringing Sasuke back to the village and the hopes that his words don't mean what they say.
It's a tough fight and your getting angry and you feel a sudden rush of power that allows you to continue. It helps, but ultimately you see black and you cant help but feel that Sasuke said something nice to you along the way.
But you know it's not true because Sasuke doesn't use words like that. He doesn't use the simple words that bond the two of you together. Sasuke uses the words that tear apart.
When you come to your riding on Kakashi's back heading back to the Leaf Village with Sasukes' head band clutched tightly in you fist. Trying not to hold on to the words that mean everything to some and nothing to others, words that sealed the fates of everyone, or words that were never the truth.
But you do because, no matter what, your going to bring Sasuke back.
